You’re again missing the point, and then you try backpedaling by saying you weren’t actually being serious just to cover your bases. Jesus what an absolute twat you are.

That’s not the point, you’re being intentionally disingenuous while not giving all the facts, specifically to prove your point. You don’t have the paint the entire picture, but to imply that the only thing steam has to offer is giving money to a billionaire is bullshit and you know it.

It’s true that gog is better, but to completely misrepresent why people use steam is just disingenuous, it’s a better service than practically any other one out there(aside from gog ofc)

It’s moreso because of the actual specs itself, “priced like a PC” is anywhere from $300 to $10,000(at least semi-reasonably on a consumer scale) which isn’t a good metric if you could guess. However, based on the specs it should be somewhere from $500 to $800, and realistically because they were working with manufacturers for it they should be getting a good deal on the parts and therefore it should ere more towards $500 than anything, which would be console pricing. Of course excluding any peripherals. The issue is the way they’re wording it, and the way they have reacted to people like Linus asking if the price will be around $500. It seems like “PC pricing” means more like $1000, which is honestly overpriced for the specs and if it is said price I highly recommend no one buy it, just build your own, it’s easier than you think.

In response to your post, it’s a little morbid but I found ratshaker to be a great little game that gave me many laughs.

This is like saying I refuse to go outside because this book on nature I have is good enough, the context you get by being in the actual world helps whatever you read have more context. I’m assuming your comment was in jest, but it gave me such a gutteral reaction that I had to say something.

I didn’t say I respected the developers, in fact I specifically said I didn’t respect them, I’m just saying that its a good game with similar gameplay mechanics to what op was looking for

I honestly might recommend escape from tarkov, it’s just that I honestly don’t respect the devs very much. But it’s a very good game, you can play on PvE mode so no need to worry about timezones or anything like that. It has a incredibly in depth gun system since its pretty much just real gun mechanics, and I honestly love that about the game, it has taught me so much about guns and their attachments. The one thing is that it can have a low time to kill, but there’s an in depth armor mechanic to the game that can change that. On top of all that, it’s an extraction shooter, which conceptually is literally just an fps roguelite. Just a warning, it doesn’t allow Linux users if you are one, even for PvE mode, but there’s a mod you can get called SPT(single player tarkov), and it allows you to play on Linux on top of allowing you to mod it further.

Have recently played this for the first time, and I’m stuck on the final Riku fight, it’s excessively difficult and worst of all I just don’t really care about the characters for it to be worth it for me to finish the game, honestly a super overrated game.

I feel like many pre builts are kind of scams, in the best case you’re paying extra for someone to basically put together Legos for you, and in the worst case you’re spending waaaaay more than you need for parts that are as good as suggested, it’s always best to just put shit together yourself, especially with tools like pcpartpicker being so easily accessible.
