I still miss lawbreakers (I will not be playing the private server if thats still happening, I played with controller lol)

Heroshooters are bad because they are all slow af to appeal to casuals. Mindnumbingly boring, they make jetpacks and grapple hooks lame somehow.

It just runs a script to compress all your games to chd or whatever is appropriate.

Never played it orginally, seems interesting

Been meaning to play celeste, loved towerfall. Is spelunky 2 any good, kinda overplayed the original back when it was a free ps plus game.

I heard demon souls ps3 works well (prob not a small file size), but I have a ps5 and I feel should just get it on there and play the remake

How does dark souls hold up if you’ve only beat/played elden ring?

These seem solid, I put off a few of them like dave the diver and vampire survivors, because I wanted to get a handheld first and forgot about them

I forgot about cult of the lamb, grabbing that, did play hades 1 a while back and have 2 installed rnow.

Does ballisticng still have an online playerbase?

Realized you can significantlly compress ps2 roms using emu decks compression tool, and have saved quite a bit of space doing that, shrunk the size of each rom by more than half

this is on steamos like a steamdeck, think thats more for weaker handhelds

What are some lower size games that work well on linux handhelds?
Running games off my microsd has a lot of issues and only works rarely (legion go s, not sure if its the reader or card, heard it's just slow in general) So I'm looking for more smaller games (at or below 10gb with exceptions if it's multiplayer online, no bigger than 25gb in that case) Right Now I Have (haven't played or tried them all yet, I like variety when I do sit down to play) - Trackmania Stadium and Valley less than 2gb total - Trackmania 7gb - Helldivers 2 slim version 22.54gb - Warhammer speed freaks (suprisingly fun when theres a lobby with ppl) 17gb - Asphalt Legends 9gb (way better than I expected out of a free game) - Burnout Paradise Remastered 7.45gb - Flatout Ultimate Carnage 5.19gb - Redout 4.56 - Risk of Rain 2 3gb - Astroneer 3gb - Valheim 2gb - Factorio 1.89gb - Slay The Spire 1.66gb - Monster Train 1.51gb - N++ 1.35gb - Rivals of Aether 351mb - Enter the Gungeon 343mb - Noobs are coming 311mb - Nuclear Throne 222mb - Brotato 213mb - Hypersomnia (topdown shooter) 500mb - Albion Online 7gb (tried it a few times, never really clicked but I crave a mmo) - Hades 2 11.4gb - Hollow Knight 7.6gb I like all genres but prefer stuff that works purely with the controller. Ideally, looking for multiplayer pvp game that isn't a first person shooter since mouse and keyboard wins out there on pc. Do topdown and sidescrolling online pvp shooters still exist?

Sadly a concept made for live service, going world to world doing missions

The exiles would make a fire custom hero game, make your own xman variant

I feel like I have no freetime now and I used to somehow play games go drink do my homework and exams… oh wait now I remember, 3-4 hours of sleep and ocassional allnighters, I was dissasociating and in a haze by graduation I didnt even shave or get a haircut, looked rough

Ais gonna be like you look mature for your age putting ppl higher or lower

I pretty much only buy indie games these days, maybe one AAA a year and I used to buy multiple a month. Most stuff doesn’t feel unique enough, like I’m just repeating experiences with slightly different themes and controls.

Oh damn I didn’t even know that existed, think ill cop.

I accidentally did new game plus and dont wanna have to rebeat the game for dlc, i dont like repeating stuff it turns out

Gamdevs should get roylties based off contribution like a number so small for indie games its meaningless unless it does well, but for bringingg us longlasting moneymaking games like gta they should be making way more

that isnt earth defense force, idk aot fangame is the closest to what i enjoy but i suck at the score based combat

giant monsters are underutilized, want one with traversal heavy combat and destruction

k what other game have fun grapple hooks and flight, wouldve liked some better maps/enemeies same mechanics

I think the type of game I liked sp is just dead, nothing to replaxe this or infamous, at least gta 6 is still coming

i want AAA to mean more gameplay options, more horizontal and vertical progression, tired of the graphics focus, lost comsetic progression, elden ring at least brought it back

My plan is to buy less games, if anyone enjoys sandbox games, physics, etc. I recommend just spending a month learning blender instead, then it becomes funner than most “creative” games available.

Concepts great, think s@box’s sandbox mode will pull it off better for what I want, just a social sandbox that can be played flat/vr letting ppl make stuff in game and outside of it.

Vrchat has some interesting stuff forsure, got me interested in unity and blender, but most of my time there was spent solo trying out worlds/avatars, some ppl remade full game character with all their abilities using unity particles, was cool to learn and try to make anime attacks (i never tested them in vr, looked great on the preview on my monitor, terrible in vr, you need to use meshes)

to be fair, that is the whole point of the game, its competitive, i miss lightbikes on iphone, was a fun ripoff with new mechanics like 3d maps (multiple rotated planes lol), jumping, and boosting, added a lot to the game

dont let them on vrchat, i judge the fk out of every parent allowing kids on there

armagettron was very fun over lan on school pcs back in highschool, i put it in the school directory so everyone could copy it over whenever lol

I’ve checked many different times and there is usually nothing, makes sense it’s prob out of my timezone pst US

dont think anyone does dm annoyingly, idr care for the coop race thing

wtfs wrong with my xonotic, i only see like 2 servers not full max when i check

Maybe the future of this is platforms like S@box letting ppl make their own mp games and having them be accessible from one location. Probably not realistic, but would be sick if all these fossgames had one portal/serverbrowser to access them from. I think there is something for doom that is essentially that?

that looks fun, never heard of it

is that unvanquished? Played a game of that, couldnt find one again

What foss MP games are still active?
Like xonotic, opensrena, red eclipse, warfork, alien arena, etc. are they ever active or are they completely dead? Found games on hypersomnia(stick arena like shooter), assaultcube, and et legacy.
fedilink

seems unnecessary to support it natively if the goal is to have ppl run linux apps that way
