Whenever you get this issue resolved, I would reevaluate your use of background services. Phones tend to keep most of their battery life by not being used constantly.

If you can use it plugged in, I know some Chinese phones are starting to use bypass power, where they run off the charger directly, not touching the battery at all. That means longer battery life.

Consistency? Nvidia does the exact same thing, so yeah I guess that’s consistent. That reliable numeric with the Nvidia GeForce Titan, Nvidia Titan, and Nvidia Titan RTX (yes those are all very different cards).

And don’t even get me started on the workstation Quadro card naming, with the Quadro RTX 4000, RTX A4000, RTX 4000 (Ada generation), and RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell.

Running Steam should be fully independent of running games.

At least the client. You might still need some 32-bit libs if a game uses steamworks drm. I’m not sure how stuff like the overlay or achievements are integrated.

Probably not with any usable level of performance. It’s not just about address width but CPU instruction set, too.

Running a GUI app without a desktop ain’t gonna work. Personally I would not try running a VPN in a VM on Android if possible. You can run it in Android and it should route the VM traffic through it. Not sure what you’re trying to accomplish here though.

Oh I see, you had that directory on a share mounted on the system. That should have been abstracted away by the OS, especially if it was SMB. NFS or iSCSI would have been a bit more tricky, but as long as it was addressable through a drive letter I would have expected it to work.
