In practice we will have to see if it stays interesting or if it feels like it cheats you of all the work you’ve done.

Could be really good or completely destroy the franchise. I hope they know what they are doing.
Hint: if they are American devs in a big studio, the latter is more likely nowadays.
But civ (and rockstar) are take two’s money printers, even executives know not to fuck this series up (hopefully)

And they intentionally shake the gameplay up with each installment. I’m glad they do. Otherwise there’s little point in doing a new one
