I love this style of game. I always have one on the go. Some times they scratch the itch, others they miss just a bit. I found that the blasphemous series more dark souls than Metroidvania. Biogun, chasm, bloodstained, any of the ori games, haiku, the mummy demastered, turnip boy commits tax evasion, dust an Elysian tale… I have more but that’s a solid chunk. I’d love to hear from others if they do or don’t consider these in the same family.

Do you consider Zelda64 a MetroidVania? If so then Darksiders has that action, similarly control, soul reaver 1 and 2, and blood omen 2.

I’ve been watching this one for a while. I really enjoy the style but I find the fact that they couldn’t figure out getting the world in the same hand drawn style is offsetting. I hope it’s something I just get used to?

Right? And not only that, how many down vote without participating in the discussion or even watching the video.

I understand holding a person to standard. But to say ‘I didn’t watch, I didn’t read but I don’t like the guy.’ that’s not what online community or discussion are about.

Jirard Khalil gives an in-depth breakdown of what happened with the open hands non profit. I've been waiting a year for this video and I am happy to see Jirard again. Everyone will have to decide for themselves but I accept what he has to say and look forward to supporting his content again.

It takes a bit to get the swing of what’s happening in battles. It’s not real time and it’s not atb, the mix of the two is great.

I found myself really appreciating the updated content and perspective from the original, but you really don’t need to have played it before.

Every gamer who plays final fantasy knows the basics. Cloud and Arith good, Seperoth bad. But this one expands so much and includes a lot of the story from crisis core and other games in the series.

I get jealous of everyone replaying for the first time. But I’m still looking forward to hearing more about your journey.

A Zelda game without real dungeons, inventory, puzzles… Not a Zelda game I want to play. I will admit to buying and playing it on the 3ds, but it was filler.

Great job on working through your library. I managed to wait until the PC release and a sale before playing tlou2. What a gut punch right!?

It is so well put together, without spoilers, I struggled to play from anyone but Ellie’s perspective until the final act. Then I totally flipped.

Chill out Ellie.

I’d love to hear your thoughts after you get half way or even finish the game.

I saw it posted on here much before it reached the threshold. I think that before then it was really just a few people running with it, now that it has gotten momentum, more people are sharing and we run in similar circles so it can appear to be overwhelming.
