Moving homes and having no landline Internet for a while and not being able to most install most of my Steam games on my desktop gaming PC because mobile Internet is slow and expensive so installing a big game literally costs money. With GOG I just downloaded the offline installer at work into a USB Flash Disk and then installed it on my desktop at home.
You can do that with steam. Just needs steam to check the files and done.
Kinda depends on what ending is canon. But I guess you could resurrect him by accident. Some rival corp, looking to find the secrets of Soulkiller resurrects his engram. The information wanted, is wrapped up in Silverhand himself. From there you could either go, nerd smuggles Johnny out and its a cat and mouse game with all the corps trying to find the soulkiller code, and Johnny. Or you could insert Johnny into the city, working behind the scenes to take down all the corps. And you, as some random, is who he chooses to give assignments to in order to take them down.
Maybe If I give it more thought, but off the top of my head, thats what I came up with. So bringing him back is totally doable without feeling contrived.

I cant lie, those Microsoft tech support “have you tried rebooting” gits are the worst. But outside of that, even on Reddit, you get actual help. With linux, I see an ocean of “what a fucking newb” type shit. Even in here, everyone sucking their own cock because they dont use windows anymore. And if you do, well, you must be a pleb. Like people cant just use what works for them, and leave it at that.
And whats funny, is that everyone using linux is still having issues. They say its amazing, then harp on about not being able to play games and the solution is more often than not “have you tried installing this other distro???” Which is about as helpful as “have you tried turning it off and on again?”.
Everyone uses whatever works for them. Windows, MacOS, linux, whatever. And that should be fine. Instead, its become some kind of dog shit console war. PC users looking down their noses at console users, console users looking down their nose at mobile users, ISO users looking down their nose at Android users, Android users looking down their nose at IOS users, linux users looking down their nose anyone that isnt using linux. And even then, “Why you still using Mint, mate? Dont you know its better to use OSpop for gaming???” Its this never ending hole of cunts all shitting all over everyone else. If only we could just enjoy what we are doing and shut the fuck up.
Never had any of these problems on windows. I kinda wonder what it is that you are all doing that you having such problems?

Even if there was, would you buy it? Just looking at everything the company is currently doing to destroy the brand, should be enough to turn anyone off. Even if you are a diehard of Halo or Gears or Fallout etc, you can play then on, apparently, anything else.

My eyes were opened to gamers with Elite Dangerous. During the early access, FD told us a single player off line was coming. Then about week before the full release, they said “nah, cant make it work. No refunds!”. This was blatant false advertising. Worse, they then said that you didnt pay for the game, you paid for early access. The game was just a gift…
Offline single players werent happy, as you can imagine. And took to the forums… and thats when the real shit started. Nothing but abuse from happy to be always online people. Mods started deleting threads talking about the refunds. It ended up that they couldnt deny it anymore, so shoved it into one single thread. Which maxed out and had to be closed and another started, then another. All the while gamers were abusing the fuck out of people who wanted refunds, and the mods would perma ban any refunder who said something back.
The fucking hero of this story? The credit card companies. All the refunders eventually contacted their CC companies as well as companies like Paypal. They all took one look at what was going on, and mass refunded everyone who asked for it without dragging it out. That when I knew what gamers really were. They were a community of people who enjoyed a hobby, they were factions who would abuse the ever living fuck out of another for millionaires and private companies. Its one thing to say “I dont care about being always online” but to, in some cases, brutally attack people who were conned into paying for an offline mode that was never coming was bullshit. I now severely judge anyone who plays that game. If I met someone in real life who played that game, I might punch fuck out of them. Thats how strongly I feel about the abuse I saw happening. And it was like a fucking decade ago.
Gamers are the most short sighted fucking morons on the planet. They complain endlessly, yet praise absolute dogshit when they dont care. Never once thinking “Maybe if we werent all constantly at each others throats, we wouldnt be getting abused by companies like EA, UBI, Sony and whoever else.”. I mean, they need us! Why the fuck are we all putting up with their shit???
