Ya know, I told myself when they brought Verdansk back that I wasn’t gonna spend 70 fucking dollars for BO6 just to help level up guns, and even though I was tempted I didn’t do it, even when it was on sale. Shit like this is what reminds me as to why I shouldn’t buy it. Yeah, I’ll play your game because my friends and I enjoy Verdansk, it’s a good map and is fun for us to play, but I’ll be damned if I give them any money for it.
They locked one of the meta assault rifles in a season 1 battle pass (Krig) meaning you literally cannot unlock it and have to buy a weapon bundle to use it. You can pick the gun up off the ground, but not make a loadout with it without spending money. Luckily I’ve earned several of their free CoD points from previous free versions of the battle pass to unlock a bundle for it, but I shouldn’t fucking have to do that.
I’ll just cost them money to host me on thier servers now, until they remove Verdansk again and I’m not gonna play Warzone.

Yeah I enjoyed GeoGuessr and wishlisted it in Steam when it was announced. Got an email from Steam saying it was available and opened the store page to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews.
I’ve played OpenGuessr and it’s pretty close to the same experience, I never do versus or anything, just a casual player. I did notice it tended to put me in the same countries quite often, like 8 instances of Brazil and 3 in the Philippines in 20 rounds, but still enjoyable.

I genuinely prefer the graphics of older games…
This is because a lot of older games were going for an artistic style, the graphical fidelity of today’s games was too far out of reach. BioShock is a perfect example because of its beautiful art direction.
AAA games used to have character to them, now every person has to have 1200 individually rendered pores and a remaster every few years to make it look more realistic (cough cough The Last of Us)
This is exactly what happened with my mom trying to buy a Christmas gift for my nephew. She knew he had an Xbox but had no clue which version it was so she didn’t know which version of a game to get. I told her to just buy an Xbox store gift card and call it a day, much easier than trying to figure out which version of the console he had. Didn’t want her to buy him a disc if he had the Series S.

Listen the game isn’t perfect and did have a rough launch, but they’re actively working on fixing and improving it. I’ve had 8+ hour straight binges of gameplay on it and enjoy it plenty. Is it completely what I hoped for? Not exactly, and the game could use more optimization but I still very much enjoy it, personally. It’s more enjoyable to me so far than the first game, especially with the new tools and features they’ve added.
Toxicity is so dumb with g*mers, just refund and leave an honest review then move on with your lives people, geez.
Did that a couple years ago. I was trying to cancel my PS+ subscription because I didn’t use my PS4 much after building a PC and they kept giving me issues. I simply deleted my card info from the account and let the subscription end that way.
Now they keep saying there’s a problem with my account and I need to re-add my card info.
No thanks, Sony.

BUT DONT YOU WANNA PLAY AS KEVIN DURANT FOR ONLY 30 REAL WORLD DOLLARS??? -Activision, probably
Yeah I played Warzone Verdansk/Caldera a lot, spent many hours on it. Verdansk will always hold a place in my heart. Warzone 2 shits on all of that so bad they had to remake the Steam page to have better reviews (it didn’t work).
My friends and I that play CoD have moved to playing CoD Mobile on Gameloop and have a much better time there than in MW2 and Warzone 2.
It’s not 343, most of that leadership has left or fired. It’s Halo Studios now, game runs UE for graphics and the Blam! engine underneath for AI and everything else.
