A platform isn’t a game. Minecraft is one game. Steam hosts many games. Nintendo hosts many games. There are Minecraft clones as games on the Roblox platform.

Recommending Minecraft as a substitute for Roblox is the same as recommending Minecraft as a replacement for Nintendo.

Every Roblox install installs this development tool. It’s ridiculous to compare it to the java programming needed to make a Minecraft mod.

I don’t think you understand Roblox if you recommend Minecraft as a substitute. Roblox isn’t a Minecraft clone. It’s a platform like Steam. There are thousands of different games.

It doesn’t matter that they have no basis for a lawsuit. Nintendo starts a lawsuit, no matter how ridiculous, and the developer has to pay a lawyer to defend or they lose to default judgement.

The US isn’t like EU. Everyone pays their own costs whether you win or lose. If you win, you can then start a new lawsuit to recover legal costs but that costs more money and you aren’t guaranteed to recover the money.

Edit: I don’t understand the downvote. It’s exactly how the US system works. I experienced it with a contractor. Contractor took the money and didn’t finish. I sued and won. He then sued saying he was owed all that money back for absolutely no reason. Of course it didn’t even go to trial but I still had to pay my lawyer to defend myself. Otherwise it would have been a default judgement for him.

There’s no precedent. Nintendo sues, the developer doesn’t have money for lawyers to defend themselves so they remove it.

I don’t own one but I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube on the Thermaltake 600. I like it because of the looks and vertical arrangement which should be better for lower fan speed while not overheating and no GPU bending.

They run Linux but you don’t need to know anything. They work out of the box. Guides are for upgrading to different user interfaces. You do need to learn how to make a copy of a micro SD card because the ones that ship with the devices are extremely low quality and will quickly fail. I use the one from Raspberry Pi. Yeah Miyoo only makes a vertical and a flip. Retro game corps says the flip has some quality control problems.

I have a RP3+ but after using it a while, Android is too much of a hassle.

Miyoo Mini or Anbernic equivalents running Linux are so much easier. There’s no setup- just put your roms in a folder and go. I spent hours on the Retroid just trying to to get launchers looking nice and emulators configured.

But the critical feature is Android will never have is fast boot. When you hit the power on the Miyoo it saves the game state and completely powers down. It doesn’t go to sleep like Android where the bat is dead a day later. The Miyoo will have power weeks later. And because it boots in 10 seconds right into the middle of the game exactly when you hit power off, it’s not a problem to wait for a full boot.

Roblox is a game store like Steam where most games are free instead of Steam where most are paid.

A unique feature of Roblox is the default install comes with the free tools to make your own games so it’s a great way for techie parents to teach programming to their kids.
