they still have a lot of stuff on steam i’d purchase if they weren’t still trying to get $70 for 5-10 y/o games

The demo really impressed me too. Not super polished, but very good bones. Very pretty, very good vibes.

G-Rebels was really fun, I’m eager to see it develop. Eyes of the Elderwood had cool spooky vibes, I’m looking forward to its full release

True, I just think the flailing AAA industry is a lost cause. I would be very surprised if his statements have any impact on the current stifling atmosphere for musicians at these studios

Ideally, so many of modern technologies would be an incredible net positive, freeing up so much wasted human time and enabling people to pursue happy, fruitful lives. But under capitalism, those same innovations are instead ruining livelihoods, dismantling society, and destroying the ecosystem.

If everyone in the group already knows how to play, and at least one person in the group is the “Cool, so it’s Harriet’s turn now” kind of person that keeps the game moving, then games can go fairly quickly in my experience

Currently Vintage Story, BallisticNG and Deadlock. No one game is currently holding a monopoly on my attention. All very good games, but it does feel a bit like I’m just in a holding pattern waiting for Silksong. It was easier to wait without an official release date xD

I love MW5. Its modding scene is so robust that the game is incredibly customizable to be basically whatever type of experience you want. That being said, my mod list is out of date so getting back into it would be a huge chore right now haha

Yeah I would have been surprised if it stayed a one-and-done. It was a breakout hit so they’ll definitely try to sell more of it.

Fly Knight. It’s really fun! I have no nostalgia for Runescape, but the visual style is very OSRS.

probably won’t be that long, honestly. But if it is, I’m fine to wait too.

I really like flipping through Blades in the Dark every now and then. It’s a really cool and unique setting with enough vagueness/obfuscation to keep my imagination soaring.

Don’t forget to delete last year’s version from all your customers’ hard drives!

3 is really tough, but I’ll say:

  1. Hollow Knight
  2. Noita
  3. Super Metroid

Other GOATs of mine are already mentioned by others. Y’all have impeccable taste

that’s super impressive to me, and I guess explains why any client side anticheat is ineffective vs a determined cheater, rootkit or not.

thanks for the explanation! I miss when anti-cheating measures involved actual human beings administrating servers

I would have thought this would introduce enough latency to make an aimbot ineffective, but I know nothing about the cheating scene
