Ideally, so many of modern technologies would be an incredible net positive, freeing up so much wasted human time and enabling people to pursue happy, fruitful lives. But under capitalism, those same innovations are instead ruining livelihoods, dismantling society, and destroying the ecosystem.
If everyone in the group already knows how to play, and at least one person in the group is the “Cool, so it’s Harriet’s turn now” kind of person that keeps the game moving, then games can go fairly quickly in my experience
Currently Vintage Story, BallisticNG and Deadlock. No one game is currently holding a monopoly on my attention. All very good games, but it does feel a bit like I’m just in a holding pattern waiting for Silksong. It was easier to wait without an official release date xD
I love MW5. Its modding scene is so robust that the game is incredibly customizable to be basically whatever type of experience you want. That being said, my mod list is out of date so getting back into it would be a huge chore right now haha
I really like flipping through Blades in the Dark every now and then. It’s a really cool and unique setting with enough vagueness/obfuscation to keep my imagination soaring.
