I had a chance to play this at a local convention and played with the game designer. It is a pretty fun game. It is legacy, so you need to get through the story to play with all the cards. As it says in the FAQ, all the cards are numbered, so a reset is possible, or playing with different people. I am not getting anything out of this (except a better chance it will get fully funded, which means a better chance I will actually get the game), but as I said, I have played it and would like to again.
