Project Zomboid is my favorite split screen game. Not split screen but shared-screen-coop and tons of fun: Wild Woods, Speedrunners, Demons Crystals, unrailed. I’ll add more if I can think of them. These all have fantastic controller support.
Apparently the ones being pirated in this ring. My point is people still want retro gaming consoles and games. If the IP holders aren’t selling them, what do they expect people to do?
For me it wasn’t about the leveling or end game content. It was the engagement - you had to interact with other players, negatively or positively, to truly progress. Then they added dungeon finder and for all I know the other four players could be bots for all the engagement you get.
