Surprised to not see it linked. Warning: despite being free, recent reviews point out how they’re pushing a monthly subscription to get all the cosmetics.

I don’t really have time for extensive puzzle games anymore, so I watch a YouTuber named Aliensrock. He’s still playing it, and I’m so invested! It’s insane that a puzzle rougelite can work so well and be so engaging with the story and mysteries. There are multiple ways to figure out each puzzle (except one so far), which is fascinating.
My wife is in love with Disney Dreamlight Valley! It’s like animal crossing but with Disney characters and in full 3D. She dresses her character up differently every few weeks. She looked like a reindeer for December/January, and it was so cute! They’re very heavy on the fairy/cozy decor aspect, and while the expansions are paid, they do have free updates every 3-4 months.
She also recommended Calico, which is an indie cat cafe sim at heart, but you also get to dress like a magical girl, design your home, ride around town on animals like giant foxes, dogs, red pandas, more cats, etc. Very cute and relaxing.
On Your Tail is a cute mystery game set in an idyllic Italian seaside town with beautiful storytelling and character development.
She seconds other comments encouraging Haven, pulls the heartstrings and relaxing with minimal combat.
There are also the HerInteractive Nancy Drew games, which are older but fun female-centered mysteries. She recommends Phantom of Venice and Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon.

Oh my god. I have forgotten about this game for a while. I need to redownload it and get it on my steam deck! It’s such a fun game! I played this for a while. I can still hear the first song you play on the harmonica when the girl sings. I gotta get my wife to play this game and see what she thinks. Thanks for the reminder!!
It really sucks that there won’t be a sequel to this game…

I’m just gonna say that KH2 on the PS2 isn’t even the best one. The HD remake was better bc it was the English release of the final mix. And you can play that natively through steam. Even with mods on the steam deck.
Play Need For Speed: Most Wanted for the PS2. It’s such a great cops vs racers game. It’s perfect for emulation bc shop should save state before selecting the winning card since there is one with a pink slip every time. Back in the day, we would just need to reset the whole system and make sure we saved before 3 full races, and just redo them. Emulation is the way to play this game! I’m surprised no one has recommended this since it’s the most popular need for speed game.
Need For Speed for being anti authority? Honestly, I have been missing a new NFS game. The last one came out in 2022, and the longest wait between them since 1994 was 3 years… Definitely didn’t play them all, but the last two, Heat and Unbound, were surprisingly good.
