Dark cloud is one of my favorites, I go back and replay it at least once a year. The second one was good too but it doesn’t quite have the same vibe as the first

Sorry, Eno caught me first lol. It’s a wonderful game and it would be cool to see more posts like this searching for people to play with as opposed to the weekly “Skyrim released on your refrigerator, should you care? (Seven pages of ads later) No”

Sent! It takes about 12-15 hours to beat it so I doubt we’ll be able to get through it all today but let’s go wooo!

Anyone looking to play through Split Fiction for free?
I'm a bit tipsy and bored and you only need one person to own the game to play through it. I'm on PS5, not sure if it's cross play. You will need to download the 70 gig or so game to play though

I guess it depends on the price point. I suppose even an hour or so I’d be content with if it cost me less than a dollar, you expect a lot more out of a pricier game though

You’ll have to stop buying eventually to play through them all or you’re always gonna have some left in the backlog at that rate. Oo maybe you can hand down your library to your kids and they can continue on the effort

You still spent less than buying two AAA at release

I added the buddy I ran through the game with and he’s still on my friend list decade or so later, amazing experience

Clair Obscur has been the best game I’ve played in a long while, absolute masterpiece

Clair Obscur came out the same time and it’s probably the best RPG I’ve ever played, and I’ve played every noteworthy one in the last 40 years at least. GOTY at the LEAST.

Tutorials are designed for the dumbest person out there who has zero idea what they’re doing. So in this case someone who has never driven a car or played a racing game before. If a tutorial told you “this works like the last game, do the same” it’s obviously bad design. Yeah that’s a super small subset of the people playing the game but it’s better to overexplain than underexplain. But in this case yeah they should 100% just have a separate tutorial mode section for people who need it, having that REQUIRED in a racing game is ridiculous. I haven’t played racing games in years but last I remember that’s what used to be the norm.

I thought you were talking about mobile games or something locked behind a paywall before I read further and realized you’re mad that multi-player is “locked” behind someone completing a tutorial. I haven’t played either of the two games you mentioned by name but I would imagine that they are complicated/unique enough where a tutorial is warranted. It’s kind of annoying if you just want to hop in and go, sure, but if “most of the fucking game” content consists of the beginning tutorial then you bought the wrong game to begin with.
