To be fair, I don’t watch either of those youtubers. So I had no knowledge of this.

I don’t know if it’ll be VR but the short version is there’s a lot of code in the source 2 updates that directly point to the development of a new half-life game.

With the fact there’s apparently surprisingly reasonable evidence of a new half life game, I wonder if that’s likely to get announced when they give these a release date. I could see them bundling it with the steam machines at least. Assuming the rumors turn out to be true.

Honestly nothing makes me feel more disconnected with the general gaming populace than the sheer popularity of extraction shooters. Every single one of them looks and sounds unfun. Also they tend to look incredibly generic.

But they’re popular so what do I know.

I recommend giving graffiti kingdom a try. It’s a 3d platform er where you draw your own character.

I’ve been playing 7 remake a bit and I know a lot of additions were meant to flesh out the world in what’s actually a really small chunk of the original game. But I found a lot of the additions, though not all, to feel more like unnecessary padding than good fleshing out.

The intense racism on steam is seriously fucked up. And it’s ever-present.

The game does look fun though. It kinda reminds me of that old 2D Mirror’s Edge game for old iPhones but a lot better.

Way not worth it for me. Justifiable price for it’s performance? Maybe. That doesn’t actually matter to me. I bought a steam deck years ago. I bought a switch 2. Power is not my big concern with these systems. I have a proper PC for that. I want a reasonable portable system that can play the kinds of games I’d like to play while waiting somewhere. While laying in bed. While sitting outside because it’s a nice day. I don’t need insane hardware for that. The games that need that I’d play on my computer.

At the same time a Microsoft product these days screams garbage anyway. Even if it’s not actually made by them. If it’s got their branding, there’s certain expectations that go along with it. Especially for what’s basically just a computer.

I mean I have no actual respect for any of these companies. Their goal is money before anything else. Them “taking shots” at one another is meaningless to me.

Why couldn’t you believe that? So many other games announce whole season passes before launch. This is super common.

Story matters in a lot of games to me. But not in borderlands. I play borderlands for the looting and shooting basically. And 3’s the best at that. Though I’ve heard 4 is even better still in that regard.

3 was the best out of all of them from a gameplay perspective. People don’t like the story but I never cared for any of the borderlands stories personally.

The issue is the many people who complain when a game or other media have women that look like actual women. Calling them men because they don’t look like the perfectly sexualized women in media that they’re used to.

Yes they can’t tell the difference, but they’re still doing real harm.

Banning sexualization is not the solution, but the prevalence of it in media to the point it is expected and people get angry when it’s gone is a problem as well.

We can hate them as much as we want, but it doesn’t change the fact the hoyoverse games are massive in terms of popularity and incredibly successful. By all accounts, yeah it’s a massive crossover.

Well whether you like it or not, you’re just insulting people for criticizing a game. Not even just for it’s difficulty, so you couldn’t be more off base.

Legitimately this mindset is why most gaming forums are so toxic. It makes it difficult to actually discuss problems with and opinions on games without people basically going “git gud.”

There is room to bring up the fact that some games are just not for everyone, but that also doesn’t invalidate the criticism they have.

I haven’t played silksong, but most games like Dark Souls and the like, getting back to the boss without taking damage is pretty easy. It’s not difficulty, it’s just time.

I’m not really used to metroidvanias having runbacks honestly. Most I’ve played either have save points close to the bosses or just drop you outside the boss room if you die.

Why people resort to insulting anyone who criticizes things they like

Historically the kind of awareness it brings is less constructive information on the problems with these websites, and more on the line of unhelpful paranoia.

Hansen is generally more of a grifter these days to be fair. And even back in the heyday of the show, it had a lot of issues both legal and just moral. I really feel weird about this kind of predator catching stuff being made as entertainment.

No, the original comment just did not make any sense to begin with.

When all you end up posting comes off as nonsensical ramblings, yeah explanation is needed so people can actually understand you. Otherwise it just looks like nonsensical ramblings.

I actually do want all the DLC in a game like that. The fact it’s prohibitively expensive just means I’ve never actually bought any and stick to the Sims 3, a game where I do have all the expansions.

The bitcoin boom turned any crypto currency into just a volatile means of investment. None of them are seen as currencies to buy things anymore, and I don’t think that’s changing.

Not to mention the many other issues with crypto currency as a concept. But those don’t really matter in the face of, well, not being viewed as a currency anymore.

  1. Looks disgusting like the mobile game ads I see on tumblr

  2. Looks fake like the mobile game ads I see on Tumblr.

My only real experience with this guy was that he helped fund a mario 64 romhacking competition that I entered. So I got some money from him because of it. Funny how that works out.

There’s a logic to a smaller team being more “agile” than a larger team, but yeah these companies aren’t turning them into smaller studios. They’re expecting fewer people to do the work of a larger studio. The problems are obviously except to execs who are literally too stupid to think.

Storefront 101 supposedly yet it took steam almost a decade to implement and is largely useless due to being filled with jokes and sourced from people who don’t actually understand how to review something.

People talk about the “features” epic is missing but honestly the vast majority of those features are kinda pointless?

I don’t like epic’s store because the layout is annoying and it likes to send me ads in the bottom right corner. It’s not that complicated.

I kinda agree. It was fun playing with my SO but they’re pretty boring on their own. The multiplayer is fun, but the actual story mode just kinda exists.

That’s kinda the thing, a lot of people were basically just wanting just another switch because they liked the switch’s formfactor. It may not be innovative, but why innovate just for innovation’s sake, y’know? It’s a better switch, both in some improvements to the formfactor, and in the same way the Ps5 is just a better Playstation than the ps4.

Ffxiv since the relic weapon stuff is out. Getting pretty far in that grind.

Also replaying symphony of the night. Just been in the mood for it. Haven’t really been playing anything new lately. Deltarune chapter 3 & 4 are out and I’ll start playing them tonight, but I’m at work for the time being sadly.

I’m not playing it until tonight after work sadly. Excited though. Deltarune’s honestly why I started my hobby of making music.

Denuvo’s DRM instead of anti-cheat.

Though I also was wondering the same thing. Took me a minute to remember lmao.
