I went with my son to his friends house a few years ago, about 9. Me and his mom were hanging out while the kids gamed. Her son played roblox. I never liked the game, and know there are thousands of other games to play that aren’t so predatory, so my kid was never introduced to it. Anyway, his friend was playing so I let my son play too for this day.
After a time, her son asked for $10 for Roblox. Mom said not today and the child had a full meltdown. It hurt my ears he was screeching so loud. My son just froze and stared at his friend. It looked similar to a panic attack crossed with a toddler temper tantrum. Once he calmed down, she let him back on the game, but we went home.
Certain games turn smaller children into addicts. Roblox is definitely one of those games, it seems.

On console, we dont have art painting. I’ve seen people do different things with colored wire, and make signs/art that way. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it seems really cool. I’ve gotten very fast at hooking up electricity/water for a farm. I forget you can color the wire.
I’ve probably 500 hours or so, maybe more of I combine my PC/Console time. But there are monuments I still have never visited lol

PvE is a completely different story. It did take me a bit to find a server I liked though. I just like building things. I always put out a “take what you need” box for passerbys, and I’ve had folks just come into my house to check it out, and drop me skinned Aks and I’ll drop em teas and shit. It’s fun.

Sorta along the same lines, but, I love how differently my husband and I play Rust. He’s on his official server doing what the game is meant for, and I’m just on my pVE building a villa/farm.
We need the farm update on console. I need pies and chickens. With the jungle update, my Lenovo Go can no longer handle Rust at all, so I’m back on console. It’s missing some of my favorite features for farm build. I want to chase a chicken for that elusive egg fresh after wipe! And the flowers! Oh…
Paralives I expect to gain a decent following for life sim games it should release fully early next year from my understanding. Inzoi, from what I gather, is not it, and I doubt it’s doing well.
I don’t know much about ea’s sports games. I also come from the pov of a mostly console player. I have a Lenovo go, but I only can play less demanding games on it.
It’s funny, when I got it, I was so stoked to play the sims 4 with mods. Wow what a headache it is to mod the game with constant flood of mod/game breaking updates. Too much of a headache.
Fleshed out games at release. Mods should be an afterthought, not a necessity, same for pirating. I want to give good devs money for their good games. Anything less, it’s not worth my time or self respect.
Haha. Anyway have a good day stranger!
And It won’t run.
So many of these DLCs are outright broken. For instance, the For Rent pack very well will corrupt your save file. I’ve had a glitch happen that was a for rent glitch, and I don’t even have the pack. Dine out doesnt function, my wedding stories doesn’t function. The game is still bland with $1000 of DLC.
It’s so bad, they added a toggle to turn off “unused packs” that break your game. You can now just uninstall them through the UI. Stuff you paid for, you can turn it off now, so your game runs more smoothly. Except, when It rolled out, it broke people’s games when they tried to use it, said they didn’t own the pack anymore, so you couldn’t turn a pack back on. Absurd.
Fuck The Sims 4, Fuck EA.
Rust console, is an old game, they released a new version to upgrade to new systems. Free to people who already owned the first gen game. They did this well imo. EA could never.

Yeah I think you’re right with it being good in a vacuum. That makes complete sense because it was different than the other games.
I have panic disorder, so most games with combat overwhelm me as I’m just constantly afraid. I never got that with this game. Just give me a bow so i can stand hella far away and clear the area before entering it. Thats how I did stealth. I’d take an hour slowly picking off everyone from the fort. Plus, it was really beautiful and emersive. Exploring the map was super fun.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey apparently, according to reddit a few years ago, was looked at as being shitty I guess? Not the best one?
It’s the only one I played, and I played it 3 times with ~240 hours. Kassandra is my favorite character ever, in any video game. I loved the world, its beauty, the ships and sea, and shooting arrows through rocks as a demo god.
I’ve still not touched any other assassins game.
I dropped sims 4 too. If you like to build, I’ve found recently House Flipper 2 is everything I ever wanted in a building game. Not a life sim, but still pretty cool
