Yeah so I had been humming the tune to myself for years so I thought I should look it up on YT. The MS-DOS version was far far more basic. Never had an Amiga so didn’t know they redid it. It’s SOO much better on the Amiga but I do still love the old one too.

Had games before on the ZX Spectrum but probably Prince of Persia (original) on our first PC. But it was a pirated version as that was all you could get in the country I lived in. First boxed game I bought was Sim City.

I was about 8 or 9ish. And yes, to both.

Excellent game. Had it on my 386. Still love the music. I was terrible at it.

After kinda stopping Just Cause 3 (just got same-y after getting the jetpack and taking over most of the world) but barely done any of the missions I decided to finally start Hollow Knight. Loved it but I can already tell it’s going to be challenging (I’ve got to the Fungal Wastes) and I just don’t have the patience to get gud enough to finish it. But it scratched my metroidvania itch. I wanted a more narrative have and as I’ve recently upgraded to a 9070xt and 5k2k (G75f in case anyone was wondering), so I started playing The Longest Journey! HD modded version but it’s still a 25yo game so can run on a potato. Seems good so far.

You could just build your own Steam Machine - it’s just a mid-range PC with SteamOS. Stick it all in an ITX or a HTPC case and get a controller.

Or cheaper yet, upgrade your desktop PC, buy a NVIDIA shield and run Moonlight/Sunshine - it’s simple and cheap to play games from the couch these days.

I would pay good money for a remaster of Fallout 3 using the Fallout 4 engine (or preferably better).

I’d pay even more for a full 3D version of Fallout 1 and 2.
