I’m grateful for GoG’s manual testing process. But the forums often full of users blaming GoG for treating them as second class citizens for always late at push out updates, without seeing their efforts. Sometimes it’s indeed several months later than Steam, like Manor Lords. Sometimes developers do seems to abandon their GoG version altogether, like Hellish Quart. It sometimes feels like a vicious cycle to push users away.

I prefer GoG’s UI too, It’s simpler and easier to navigate. Steam’s main page has become more confusing over the years. It’s another reason for me to prefer buying from GoG. The same goes for Steam’s client, it’s so full of stuff. Sometimes it feels like you have to open a monster to just play a casual game, it somewhat put off your desire to play that mini casual game.

From both, but I prefer GoG. I bought everything I want to keep there. So I can store the installers, and won’t have to redownload each time I install on a new system. But Steam has a smoother Linux experience.

I was playing Divinity Original Sin recently. After I got Pet Pal, what the animals think of each other and the people around them gave me a lot of good laughs.

Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale. Not all the tracks but many of their tracks are great. I play them on the loop.

Also The Witcher has great soundtracks, I often play them on the loop while I was working.

Back to Grim Dawn after its 1.2 update. I’m glad they integrated most of Grim Internals’ functions. I appreciate games like these that really listen to their players.

My hundreds of Mods works fine on GoG version, including so many that requires skse. It’s hard to find a mod or function that I use since Oldrim without it’s GoG compatible version nowadays.

I can’t quite find where it is, but there is a Wikipedia article about percentage of female gamers around different parts of the world. I can remember FPS players was few, only about 10%, in Japan more Women play games, and in average it was indeed around 50%. And this number was from years ago.

TES Skyrim - It’s like a hideout for the past 11 years. Grim Dawn - Use it to get rid of the stress. The Sims 3 - When I want to build something.
