Made of 100% real wool. Wash at 30°C, don’t put into tumble dryer.

This is why I’ve been boycotting Ubisoft for literal decades now. I refuse to even pirate their shit. Fuck them. They used to be cool company in the 90s, had bunch of cool franchises and then turned into this soulless greedy corporate bullshit just being absolute dicks to gamers and releasing all games with identical concept to Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, for 20 games in a row…

That’s not down to graphic card. It’s the game. I had horrible boiling in Marvel Rivals on RTX 3080 to a point I preferred screenspace reflections over ray traced Lumen reflections. Still do on Radeon. Surprisingly, Oblivion Remaster running Unreal Engine 5 doesn’t have this issue even on RX 9070 XT.

I do care about upscaling and ray tracing, which is why I didn’t go with AMD for last few generations. RX 9070 XT felt like the right time as they made huge improvements. Especially FSR4 is easily comparable to DLSS and I use it as antialiasing replacement while boosting performance. FSR2, while it works it turns into pixelated mess during fast movements and has a lot of ghosting. FSR4 is near perfect.
What I also love is how AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames just work in all games with minimal artifacting and Radeon Chill is what I especially love with summer coming in. It decreases power consumption dramatically and thus heat output to levels RTX 5070Ti couldn’t ever achieve despite being more efficient in raw tests for power consumption. All while not affecting experience. It’s so good I’m using it in Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals and I can’t really tell a diffeeence, it controls framerate that seamlessly.
I don’t know why would it have this mythical status. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Half-Life 1 and loved its remake Black Mesa even more because of how they transformed Xen into something actually likable to a point Xen was almost favorite part for me. Half-Life 2, while it was great game by any metric. What do people expect from it to be “something more”? For me System Shock 2 and Deus Ex from years prior are significantly more advanced and more immersive games. I could almost say the same for Bioshock which was inspired by those two. It’s only that much they can do to the game to still be Half-Life while elevating it to something “more”. Like, if they keep it just a shooter like it was, many might complain it’s too basic and if they add too many complex things to it like inventory, skills and leveling, it might not be Half-Life anymore as us old folks know and remember it. So, what to do? I have no doubts it’ll be an interesting experience either way, but people need to ground their expectations because of the above reasons.
Valve can surprise or even shock me with something new, a ground breaking innovation, but I really have no expectations.

For me the forced mechanics of glory kills, chainsaw and flamethrower put me off in Eternal. Instead of managing ammo by collecting it and smart use you were forced to do above mechanics and they felt, well, super forced and stupid.
Doom 2016 gave you option, collect normal way or use chainsaw. I never used chainsaw through entire game for it and always had enough ammo. I played it on Nightmare iirc.
From what I was told by Digital Foundry when they previewed game’s engine, they mentioned The Dark Ages doesn’t have any of these forced mechanics which is cool.

Chip fabbing allocations are limited and what chips for Ai datacenters takeup, the desktop GPUs don’t get made. And what’s left of it are desktop chips sold for workstation Ai models like the RTX 5090 and even RX 7900 XTX because they have more memory. Meanwhile they still sell 8GB cards to gamers when it hasn’t been enough for a while. Whole situation is just absurd.

BYD is at least legit huge and expanding, because China is a huge market in itself and they are expanding to western markets.Tesla is (over)valutated based on hype, promises that never get delivered and straight up bullshit.
Though BYD needs to do something with their interiors. If that flies in China, it absolutely won’t in Europe. All touch filled with gimmicks and gizmos is not that cool.
RX 9070 XT doesn’t increase framerate by 100% compared to current card I have which is usually when I buy new one, but boy AMD nailed it this time around. If availability and prices are good I might do something stupid and go AMD this time around after years of being on NVIDIA. These cards look amazing.

I never got hooked on to more “simulation” NFS games like ProStreet and Shift series except NFS Porsche 2000 which was amazing and I wish EA would just fix the damn thing to run and look nice on modern systems if they can’t make remaster due to licensing. But I have no hopes and no one managed to hack it as fan made patch to this date…
I too have obsession with NFS series, because the concept with cops is just so cool and adds that extra variable in the racing so that each race is different and not just sterile holding the best line which is just so dull and boring.
There were very few other racing games that would draw me in so much as NFS. I can only count few of them through literal decades. Lotus 3, Test Drive 3, Stunts 4D, Screamer 2, Re-Volt, Split/Second and Mercedes World Racing. Test Drive Unlimited was also pretty interesting, but I only used it to just drive around through Hawaii.
I have 4 computers, only gaming one is still running Windows, other 3 were moved to Linux few years ago when Microsoft started with forced online accounts bs because I couldn’t be bothered dealing with stupid bypasses. Two are running Ubuntu, one is running Fedora. Those are never going back to Windows.
