This is crazy you’ve kept this streak up for so long, kudos

I thought you had to prove it was unique concept before patenting something, anyway. These have obvious examples from other places

should not be gated

should be protected

Insidious language to imply people who restrict one type of information is bad and anti humanity, while restricting information you classify as ‘recreational’ - that still provides educational background, cultural identity, a sense of shared community and media with friends, and that is literally out of reach for many poor people in first world countries or most people in third world countries, that do not have libraries, or the funds to buy books and videos - or even the devices to play videos on - no, it’s ‘protecting’ the poor rich billionaire authors who live in their mansions because they wrote a book about a wizard they don’t want people to read without giving them even more money to attack trans people with.

Fuck copyright. I don’t think individuals should have to pay - even with their private data - to access information, and that means companies shouldn’t either. Especially ones providing a public service to people with open weights AI models.

But it introduces barriers. It’s much more of a faff to do this than just use your own face, and they’ll probably remove the feature now people have made it public and force you to upload an identity document.

This is all terrible for privacy, and for the decentralised nature of the internet. For years it’s been being chipped away at, but now entire parts of the internet are going to be locked behind a few age verification services, and entirely inaccessible for under 18s or privacy conscious people. This is really bad for information freedom.

The most the payment processors can do is refuse to work for them. All the free games will still be available and they’ll have to find new payment processors.

Showing opposition is good, if they find the community is so against this maybe they’ll not grin and bear the nonsense of the payment processors. They could move to new payment processors, or use crypto to pay.

Those graphics are beautiful! What hardware are you running it on?

No, sane here. I also didn’t find its gameplay loop fun, although the graphics were incredible.

Edit: I meant ‘same’, but I’m leaving it.
