Suicide Squad I took for free because I was morbidly curious (didn’t finish, was bored) but this I don’t even care if it’s for free.
Even aside from JK being a giant turd I just never cared for the whole brand. It’s like what if witchcraft and wizardry sucked actually?
I know if I took the game and played it I’d play for like an hour and then probably never touch it again, so I just won’t bother.

At this point Remedy has my trust with these games.
At least when it comes to the single player games, I’m sure Firebreak was still cool but I didn’t really want to play that one since it was multiplayer focused.
Their single player story stuff though? I’m here for it always now. So long as Sam Lake is involved at least!

Eh, if it’s a new game I want and I can afford it I’ll buy it. I’m just buying less new games lately.
I am however just going hog wild on emulating all the old console games.
Got my PS2 all set up with a hard drive and FreeHDBoot so I can just load it up with all the PS2 games I never got a chance to play or own! Hacked my Vita and download all that stuff I never played.
Haven’t tried to hack any Nintendo stuff besides my Wii, which I need to do again apparently. But I’m not exactly desperate for things to play, I’ve got loads of things to choose from these days.
They’re both fun, but I think Path of Neo is probably more what people were hoping to get out of a Matrix video game.
Enter The Matrix was cool, but it suffers a bit from some awkward earlier dual stick controls that Path of Neo had corrected. Plus you’re stuck within the timeframe of the second movie only really.
Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Destroy All Humans! Shadow of the Colossus, The Matrix: Path of Neo, Psi Ops: The Mind Gate Conspiracy, Burnout Revenge, Gitaroo Man, God Hand.
I’m sure there’s more but that’s off the top of my head. Also some of these can definitely be found in newer versions or ports, but they started on PS2 so I listed them anyways.

It’s the same in the sense of just knowing the information the game has I suppose but no it’s not the same as playing.
But it depends. Like if there’s a game I’m curious about but don’t think I’ll play then of course I’ll just watch someone else play it. If it’s a game I’m interested in and want to experience fresh on my own then no, unless I’ve played it already and the people playing it are amusing.

Tbh I never really had trouble with which was which, despite their ridiculous naming conventions. And like the console is decent and they do a lot of things right. But also unless I’m just paying them a monthly fee for gamepass to get access to games that are also on other consoles then there’s no real particular benefit to the console aside from what backwards compatibility it offers. Which is okay but not nearly full BC coverage. And at this point with all the studios they’ve gutted, what more would a new console even bring to the table? An $800 price tag maybe.

Honestly, I’m an advocate for emulation and game preservation and all that, but I’m surprised this is only now the case. I don’t have the nerve to try to hack my device if it’s the currently being supported platform. If they’ve already abandoned it then it’s fair game but the currently active console with your current actual information on there that gets regular updates? You’re just playing with fire.
It’s like taking it upon yourself to make an “HD remake” of the IPs owned by famously stringent companies who aren’t afraid to put the hammer down on these things.
It was apparently my top played game on PS5 this year because earlier in the year I got really into playing it while listening to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
