Wow, the only games I want to see win anything are Dispatch and I guess Peak. Pretty much everything else did not click with me. E33 has really surprised me with how widely praised it is. I put it in the same area as Death Stranding 2. I recognize that people seem to really like those games but I just do not get the same enjoyment and I cant understand what other people like so much about them, other than that they evidently do.

I prefer the “Pheobe Chillax” one that allows me to just build and recruit with only occasional raids from enemies and/or natural disasters.

Rimworld is very customizable in this regard, and you can swap your ‘storyteller’ at any point mid-run.

And in regards to the ‘cannibal/pleasure farm’ stuff, yeah that can be weird. I prefer to use the Hospitality mod and make my colony a luxury resort with pools/spa and thats how I make money for trading

The overworld piece reminded me of a very simple Black & White kind of style and the underworld was a bit like two point styled games. Neat but I’m not sure it had the depth of want. I should check out the demo again though

The music in the demo is amazing. They clearly use AI to generate the people but it seems inoffensive to me. I like what I played
