I built a pc tower for the first time since '01 or '02, and the first game i played was Cyberpunk 2077. A lovely game with some genuinley great characters. I really love Judy.

But that doesn’t hold a candle to Deus Ex, which i completed for the first time. What a great title. I must have played the first and part of the second level when it first came out, but the story was new to me.

Also shout out to Drova, a really fun game with tons of nods to the Gothic series. Difficult, but not punishing.

Cruelty Squad was so different. Looks like vaporware created in Duke3d engine, but plays like a modern shooter (kinda).

I replayed The Witcher 3 when i got sick earlier this year. Needed something that didn’t require too much thinking, and it worked for me.

When they announced the pre-order bonus, it seems clear that this might not be a good day one purchase. Will probably give it a look some time, but i should replay Troikas version first.

How about Jack in the dark, the little game that shipped with the cd version of the two first Alone in the dark games?

I loved Ports of Call on Amiga, it was a great hot seat game.

I have Fallout New Vegas loaded up with the Viva New Vegas modlist, playing as a cowboy with no points put into stealth and going into repair, guns, meele and explosives instead. It’s a bit harder than normal New Vegas, but so fun and comforting.

I just built my first computer since 2001 with Endeavour as OS, and bought Cyberpunk and Robocop from GOG.

Also just recently played through Drova and that’s the most fun I’ve had in a game recently. Not quite as good as Gothic 2, but well worth playing.

I do the organizing with categories/tags in game libraries that supports it; want to play, playing, beaten, given up, unbeatable.

I also have something similar in Playnite, though I don’t love that program.

I also love notebooks, I keep a notebook around for writing in during games, and I set up lists for each year with a column for bought games and one for played games. With this I can see what games I have played since 2016/17 or thereabout.

I love statistics, and seeing when and for how long I played a game is fun.

I am som enthralled by Drova, you should give the Myrtana: Archolos mod a try. Really liked it.

I think there’s 5 movable stones, and only one missable. But very few stationary ones. If it’s nagging you enough, there’s some mods, one gives infinite stamina outside combat.

And remember: Wolfs hunt in packs!

I am playing Drove and really loving it. Most likely done with the first chapter. The Gothic inspiration is clear, but it plays entirely differently. Gonna join the Remnants as they were more playfully written.

Played the first demo of Gothic they released, an that felt very different from the original. Will have to check out the new one. But, for anyone interested, the original games are still great to play.

I finally finished the Witcher 3 after 10 weeks and 160 hours, and have since moved to my computer for System Shock 2. Still early in the game, but it’s really different from Nightdives remake of SS1.

Isn’t there still a demo? I bought it the minute I reached the end of the demo.

8 weeks into my Witcher 3 replay on the deck. Finished the campaign and well into Hearts of stone. Looking forward to the lush second DLC.

Also played the Holy Gosh Darn, really funny game, and not to repetitive time loop gameplay.

My gaming 'puter is running win 10, and the plan is to replace it with one running Manjaro. Will have to see when that happens, not upgrading to win 11.

Gothic 2, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, GTA: San Andreas and Arcanum are for og ny favourite games that are a bit too flawed to be all time favourite.

Final Fantasy 6 and 7 were so good, but I can’t play them alone, we used to pass along the controller.

I love point and clicks like Grim Fandango and Monkey island.

I played Planescape: Torment in 2006 and it left such an impression on me.

Of never games there’s Disco Elysium and The Obra Dim.

Not to mention Zelda’s, Illusion of Time, the Mana series, Mario’s, the old Blizzard games, Brotherbound games and other amiga games. Quake…

Maybe Day of the Tentacle?

Your formatting has really improved, looks great and is easy to read. A lovely addition to Lemmy.

Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge and Project Gotham Racing.

Playing this for the first time at the moment. I went into long guns and find them a bit boring now in the mid-game, will try to spec into heavy weapons.

The dialouge is what makes this game for me, so many fun lines and off-kilter characters.
