I meant it as a “second best” solution. The best solution would be making it open source.

If it’s a movie with some interaction the solution is easy: release it as a movie without the interaction.

2018, Win7, DX9, … What kind of potato do you have?

A normal user doesn’t need to touch those folders, so why use a “user friendly” name? Do you complain when the electronics of your car has marks that you don’t understand under the hood?

New materials doesn’t mean new architecture. They can build RISC-V or ARM chips with that.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m talking about not treating then as special but just as anyone else and reply as you would with anyone else, not as if they are superior.

That’s a mistake. If you treat them as your equal then you can make then see they aren’t special or “middle class” and then you have another pair of hands to help the working class.

Imagine Europe pushing RISC-V and sharing upgrades with China¹. The power of the flagship would soon reach ARM or even x86-64 in a few years.

¹ China is already using RISC-V as much as they can.

It would be better to switch to RISC-V because it has no problems with patents and everyone can build a RISC-V CPU, not only 2 companies.

One can only dream about people fleeing x86-64 and going ARM or, even better, RISC-V.

But no, it’s only changing the collar to the dog. But the dog stays the same.

In the 486 era (90s) there was a not official story about the way Intel marked its CPUs: instead of starting slow and accelerate until failure, start as fast as you can and slow down until it doesn’t fail.

The main mobile OSs country (USA) and the main mobile builders country (China) don’t like “free range mobiles”.
