Yes I think it would be frustrating if you are playing with random people. Learning is part of the gameplay so experienced players will have to teach / direct new players. For example, my group died multiple times when we had to deal with radiation just because we didn’t know what to do with irradiated material.

On mic is absolutely a requirement as coordination is a major emphasis. Granted the game is still in active development. But from what I’ve heard, the new features will require even more teamwork and coordination.

I.e. you can have fire on one side of the ship and radiation on the other, whilst in the middle of a dogfight. These elements are scaled to the size of your party and difficulty level though. If you play solo, you have an onboard bot that helps and you don’t have to juggle as much.



There’s a new game in early access called “Jump Space” that has been pretty fun so far. You can play it solo but is more fun with others, as you work as a crew with roles such as pilot, gunner, engineering etc.



I would recommend it. It’s got an interesting story, problem solving, and great puzzles. There isn’t any story impacting decisions because the main character sleeps with everyone.

I’m playing the prequel to Treasure of Nadia, Lust Epidemic and don’t like it as much. It’s older and the animation isn’t as good and the story is much more rapey and cringey than TN. So it’s nice to see that the developer has grown. And also the games are connected. I’m not sure how yet, but I did meet characters from Lust Epidemic in Treasure of Nadia. I bought the latest offering from the developer, The Genesis Order, because of course it continues. But I might hold off on playing that and jump back into Expedition 33.


I too claimed the games to support the cause. I randomly chose Treasure of Nadia to start and found myself really enjoying the game and story. I just finished it last week and went on to buy the developers other titles (⁀ᗢ⁀).

I’ll have to give the other titles a try soon!


I really enjoyed this one! I tried Tunic after this it, but could not get into it.




Same here. Elden Ring was my first souls game. I would never have beat it without the seamless co-op mod. I just don’t have skill, time and patience for it.

Night Reign seems to me like an arcade version of Elden Ring. It forces you to move faster and make snap decisions (that blue flame closes in fast!). We got to Day 2 last night but I could see us pouring lots of hours into it.


I’m enjoying the game but I only play with friends. After the initial hours spent figuring out how to play together (of which there are still a myriad of issues and hurdles - a true Monster Hunter staple), we’ve been having a lot of fun together.

I’m no Monster Hunter vet or anything like that. I’ve played previous Monster Hunters, but Wilds is the first I’ve played until credits rolled.

I knew what to expect going into it. I knew not to expect seamless coop play. Don’t not expect any captivating story (I skip most of the dialogue, and don’t really know why I’m killing the monsters half of the time). Do expect a convoluted inventory system and interface.

Really, all I’m here for is to slay monsters with friends and occasionally scroll through a bad inventory list, applying a few wrong potions or antidotes before finding the right one.


I spent so many hours on this game. Probably replayed it hundreds of times. The boss battles were so epic. SIGMA! And then discovering the secret shouryuken move from Street Fighter! Wow!



It sure is. It’s my favorite game of all time. The story, art, gameplay, music which in my opinion are perfect in their own respect, all come together in such perfect harmony as to be greater than the sum of their parts.



I have fond memories of playing Suikoden, but I’m looking for new experiences. To be frank, I’m tired of remakes.

The Elden Ring Seamless Co-op is probably the only way I would have been able to finish the game and the DLC. It allowed myself and 3 others (who probably wouldn’t be able to complete it either) to beat most if not all the bosses.

I’ll check out Fallout 3 Wanderers Edition.


I’ve heard that Clip Studio is pretty close but I have not tried it yet. My experience with Gimp and Krita is that they are fairly close to Photoshop. That is to say that it would be easy for a Photoshop user to jump into those and start working. I have searched for the occasional “how to do XYZ in Gimp or Krita.”


Adobe needs to be abandoned as well. Clip Studio, Krita, Gimp, Affinity are either free OSS or one-time-payment great alternatives without the AI and privacy BS.


The Saboteur shows only as single-player in the description. Does it really support co-op?




American Chinese here - yes I watched a lot of Wu Kong / A Journey to the West adaptations as a kid. Both animated and live action.

He’s known as a trickster in the source material even though the style in which he’s presented in this new game portrays him edgier and more serious. Usually he’s more akin to Hermes or Loki.

I haven’t watched any trailers so don’t know much about the game, but in A Journey to the West, he’s tasked with protecting and escorting a Buddhist Monk on an adventure along with other ensemble characters (like a pig for instance).

On their adventures, the monk guides and teaches him about Buddhist principles like Nirvana and enlightenment and he works on becoming less monkey-like (not giving into his impulses, anger management, etc.) Much of the humor of the series stems from their contrasting personalities.

He’s also known as the Monkey King. But since I’m not fluent in Chinese it was hard to grasp some of these details and what they mean to the story. They encounter many deities, demons, spirits and other such mythological beings along the way.

His main weapon is a magical staff. From what I remember, it can grow and shrink and transform. His fur is also magical as he can pluck it and perform some magic tricks with it.


The thumbnail looks like the same exact pose model rig from any NBA2KX game from 2 decades ago.

But regardless, fuck EA.



I agree. I also think that in many ways Cyberpunk redeemed itself in public perception and financially. Whereas Starfield is very much still on the gutter with respect to both.


Imagine multiple launches like Cyberpunk 2077… What a sight.



Just finished Tails of Iron. And just starting A Plague Tale: Requiem.




I wonder if the coop experience will still be shite.
