problem is that you can fork android or make a new linux based os but with manufacturers continuing to lock down bootloaders, good luck getting it on there without making a deal with a phone manufacturer.

really hope someone finds a way to break google’s block on apks that aren’t registered. with more and more manufacturers locking down bootloaders, changing roms is no longer an option.

this is why i use ddg; i just wish there was a way to make a ublock filter to consistently hide “search assist”. i can disable it in my logged in sessions but when i search in a private window it comes back and they obfuscate their css classes so i can’t target it :/

the biggest thing i want that i love in nova is the ability for multiple drawers but also the ability to put apps in multiple folders, folders in folders, and hide them from one drawer and i’ve never found anything close to nova like that :(

i actually have both but i prefer linksheet as the default since the ui is a little nicer and mimics the old android browser chooser.

i typically just use urlcheck for things like shorturls and links that i don’t know the source of, since urlcheck also shows up in the list in linksheet so i have the option to use it or another browser/app
