Turok 2 for GameBoy Color. It was one of my first games for the GameBoy and I still love it, although, objectively speaking, it might not even be average. The translation was bad and left me confused (non-native English speaker), the levels were not particularly well designed and the platforming and shooting was very bland. But I did not care and it really threw me into the Lost World (was a huge fan of the Lost World movie based on the novel and also the cheesy 90s TV series). The music was great, though, to the point that I would consider it to be in my top 3 all-time gaming OSTs (I think the composer was Alberto Gonzales). Nowadays, I replay it from time to time on my retro handheld. Despite the general forgettable nature of the game, I still have fond memories playing it and the music plays a big role in this as well.

Fair enough. For me, the gameplay formula is a bit like chess. Very analytical and logical, and it just works perfectly.

Dude, the gameplay, especially with HotA aged very well.

This looks like a very solid remaster where they also fixed some glaring issues with the original like the outragious leveling (and therefore to some degree the scaling-) system. I am not a huge Bethesda fan but they did many things right with this. I hope that this remaster will be available on GOG at some point as well.

Then just use Proton? You don’t need Steam for it. And sitting there and demanding “Linux” to get it “together” because it is 2024 is rather ignorant due to the fact that it is not Linux’ fault that the software in question needs additional workarounds in order to make it run. People out there are using their freetime to come up with solutions for problems caused by corporations using proprietary libraries and software. I don’t think that your opinion is unpopular. I get what you want, I do wish the same, and a lot of peoole would agree with it as well, but the context in which we operate here matters a lot.
