I do that with my Asus mesh network (using Merlin-gnuton firmware.) I actually have been having problems because most phones now rotate the MAC address, I have to do it with rules

edit: And I prefer not to have them use different ssids, which I guess is the other way. Iirc, my router would let me make 2.4 a separate network.

But… I already have it, though. I just never play it because I am pretty happy with 5 and it runs better on my macbook.

I own 6 but still havent played it much.5, on the other hand, I still play a few hours a week.

There are way way more android phones in the world, but its mostly outside the US, so people pretend Apple is king.
