I do and if the computer is for work yes update to 11. But for gaming only why would anyone care if it doesn’t break your games? I do nothing but game on a PC and have no need to update until it is required for gaming. Also it is not like on that date all security updates to that point vanish. Firefox and Chrome will still update for security. Malwarebytes will still also update for security.

Why? Nothing requires Windows 11. It doesn’t even have a new directx which is why most had to upgrade from 7. Browsers and malware software will work for years. Hell malwarbytes still updates for Window 7.

Few weeks back saw there is a lawsuit about this issue. I think more related to console though. As companies are on purpose using uncompressed and unoptimized files more and more just to take up more space to deny other games. *EDIT Just for reference Far Cry 5 required 40gb in 2018. Far Cry 6 required 170gb in 2021. Three years and grew more then 4 times the size…

Sweet now they need to fix their file sizes. When I saw how much bigger newest Far Cry was compared to last one I did a hard pass. Learning that companies are doing this so you can’t install competitor’s games made me never want to play another Far Cry again.

I mean most play tests let you say nothing at all. So not sure if this is better or worse.

I do not change the way I talk. My comments on other sections of Lemmy are doing fine. Only this one post and section of Lemmy appears to have issues. To say the least next time I post anything hear I will have to change my grammar and syntax to reflect more positive emotions. I am asking questions and edited my old replies to get feedback. Personally I find all games made by Bethesda boring. Modding though is what made them great. By then end of Skyrim it was more Saints Row than Elder Scrolls and loved it.*EDIT How do people disagree with my opinion? Most people I know agree modded Bethesda games are better.

Gamers deserve a good part of that blame also. Splitgate was doing amazing before Infinite drop. Then when it came killed both games. Gamers didn’t go back and support Splitgate. Or when we have things like Operation Harsh Doorstop and people just ignore it hoping again a triple A studio game will save them. I really hope Battlebits lasts.

Most can’t do their own taxes or hold a budget. You expect too much of the average player.
