Yep, it is a poor choice today.

Like all things, it will likely improve. I see a world where a pseudo-code format and some standard start to form.

Until then, it is the wild west, and I fear some people may die from the misuse of these vibe coding tools. But they aren’t necessarily useless.

I know a lot of people hate but this AI stuff still isn’t great but it will get better. Each generation of programming languages adds syntax and convenience. AI code will likely get to the point where it is just a higher level language. The only benefit I’m seeing is that if used very carefully I can make more complex projects with fewer team members. And where there was zero documentation there’s at least SOME documentation.

And a ton of taxis also seem to have jumped on seatback systems.

PS store, twitch, kick, youtube. This was a huge marketing failure. At a minimum they could have recouped a massive chunk of that $400m if they did another $10m in marketing.

A $400m loss could have been come down to $200.

This is also partially a consequence of the loss of the E3 convention. There’s no longer a central forum for showcasing and building hype.

Why do you think Epic is trying to jam everything into Fortnite?

I just did it with Linux Mint. Works great. No issues so far. Just do it.

Another thing is the infrastructure that Steam provides to get the games to the users and support them costs money. If Capcom wants to build the infrastructure themselves it will cost them more. they will have to charge $100 (exaggeration) and they will only be serving Capcom games.

Exactly. Steam provides a service to these companies (a pipeline to customers) and they don’t want to pay.

They are free to make their own, like epic, ubisoft, origin, etc. have, and I am free to continue to use Steam, which I prefer because it provides a service and it works and I feel is a superior product.
