Fantastic game. If you haven’t been already, you can tilt the camera slightly to get a peek at some of the hidden paths.

I’ve had a lot of fun with Roboquest.

Sanctum 1 & 2 are fun fps mixed with tower defence.

Deep Rock Galactic is fantastic, like others have mentioned.

Typically only 1 story game (first playthrough) like Blasphemous or Outer Wilds. And then only roguelites or sandboxes on top of that like Factorio or Slay the Spire.

Rock and Stone!

DRG is always there for me if I get tired of other games. I’m a Scout main because I like flying around like Titanfall. There’s a build that raises single shot weak spot damage to deadly levels. It’s a blast bunny-hopping around praetorians and killing them in 2 shots.

I haven’t gotten around to using it yet, but I’ve seen a lot of people recommend Feeder

Agreed. Single player games have to be exceptionally good for me to want to play them. Besides that, it’s coop only for me.

Stickerbush Symphony the GOAT. But yes, so many great picks in here.

Me and my friends played the Pokemon stadium mini games WAY more than the actual battles. They were a lot of fun.

I’ve finished Ori and the Blind Forest at least 3 times recently. I had my first playthrough (100%), then I went back for the 3 hour speedrun (took a couple attempts to figure out my routing) and got a 2.5 hour run. Then I did a hard mode run with no upgrades. I’ve yet to do any tries for the no death run because that’s probably going to be hell.

As you might have guessed, I think it’s a fantastic game. I’m very much looking forward to playing the sequel. I’m going to try a couple no death runs before I move on though.

I haven’t seen anyone else mention the reason why I actually want this feature.

I want to be able to hide the non-games/utilities so that it doesn’t say I’m constantly playing things like blender, fpsvr, etc.

To provide an example it it being done near perfectly, see the Factorio mod scene.

That being said, I do feel similar to you about this. Something might be wonky about this. We’ll just have to see how it shakes out.

Odds are that I get run over by a train shortly after. Also the factory must grow.

My main use case is that it lets me play laying down in my bed. It’s pretty great for my back.

I mainly like that it shows non vr games in the recent games now. It was an absolute pain to navigate and find a flat game, even if I had just played it a minute earlier.

Pixel Dungeon, or its more updated and popular fork, Shattered Pixel Dungeon.

Randomized Dungeon Crawler.

Available on PC and Android (at least)

Cannot say Outer Wilds enough. Wonderful experience. Exploration and lore is everything in this game. But it’s not too much. Some games have exploration and lore just for the sake of having it. Whereas everything in Outer Wilds is purposeful and motivating to do.

I’ve been playing Hades again. I played it a while back, but only had like 30 attempts and 3 successes. The hype of the 64 heat run and the sequel coming soon got me back into it to hopefully finish the game.

If you’re a fan of the Stein’s;Gate anime, the visual novel has many more great unique scenes and mini arcs that got cut from the show. It is a very long play time though.

A bit different from the question but

Outer Wilds.

I’ve spent a lot of time in it and have 100% it, so it’s hard to find a reason get back in, but even just booting to the title screen just completely transports me.

Why? Outer Wilds was just an incredible experience, and the OST is astounding and the music completely soaked up the experience and can bring it all back just by listening.

If you are a fan of the first one, and have time to spare time you should still play it. But know that it’s missing a lot of the magic.

These are my picks.

Infinitode 2: Pretty good standard Tower Defence.

Gravity Box: Very simple platformer where your only movement is rocket jumps. People say it has occasional ads but I’ve never seen any.

God Field: fun tacky card battle game. Quick games. Can play bots, private lobbies, casual or ranked. Anywhere from 1v1 to 9ffa. I would look up a guide online to find out how to play, as it doesn’t have a tutorial (just a glossary).

Arknights: DISCLAIMER - Gacha game, I play f2p though just fine. You’re only allowed a certain number of missions per day. Unique Tower defense game with levelable Pokemon for towers, except it’s waifus instead of pokemons. Has lots of story (though you’ll get through slowly).

Emulation very possible (though I dislike touch controls):

  • Dolphin (wii/gc)
  • Citra (3ds)
  • RetroArch (any older system)

I’ve seen these mentioned in other comments:

  • Mindustry
  • Slay the Spire

Seconding Slay the Spire so much. Though I steam remote play it most of the time because it doesn’t support cross-saves (from what I’ve read online, you can do it manually though)

I’m seconding Mindustry. It’s on the Google play store free as well. I play it on PC though because I could never do the controls on touch well. Free on PC itch, or $10 on steam which I bought to support the fantastic game.
