The most illegal ROMHack according to Big N

1 USD is worth 1 USD because you can pay 1 USD of taxes. It is backed by political promises, oil, weapons and war. This can’t end well.

Crypto means cryptography. Cryptocurrencies are a variety of things from stablecoin (digital token backed by fiat money often by a private company ), company shares, community projects, scams, scams, ponzi, scams, cool technical experiments and technically bad experiment. In the other hand there is Bitcoin (and Monero to some extent) that is owned by humanity, no foundation, no company, no state. It is backed by a proof of past energy brining the most innovative security system in the history of IT, not based on restricted access and opacity but by economical incentive to play fair with others in a big game theory peer-to-peer network.

Bitcoin is not the money of the internet. It’s the internet of money.

Andreas Antonopoulos

To keep it short there is two big families of wallets. Hot and cold wallet. Hot wallets are the one that got an internet connection wether it’s a constant one or periodically connecting. Cold wallets are never connected to the internet and often are dedicated hardware devices with the better ones having a Secure Element to store the private key or even sometimes sign transactions directly in it.

Victims of this attacks were using hot wallet on a not-dedicated machine which is consider bad practice. Hot wallets have to be consider more like a physical wallets for daily spends and cold wallet being privilege for long-term saving and monthly or yearly transactions.

I’m not an expert but desktop OS (especially Windows) are not as well contained than phone so I almost never use hot wallet on my computer. Often users are tricked to sign transactions to get stolen but I think if the wallet is unlocked a malware with the right privileges/permissions could easily steals money.

by reading some file in the computer Aren’t Steam games always executable for Windows?

LOL, they should patent video games in general to this point.

Modded Wii is indeed awesome, I recommend you to check how to improve graphics on modern pannel if you don’t have a CRT TV.

OG Switch modding is great but offline only if you want to be careful.

3DS is indeed awesome for homebrew, I know PS Vita (especially the OLED one) are really appreciated.

PS2 is another great system to mod and with of course the gamecube!

I do understand lol I’m not either.

Well you could install the chinese app GameHub and logged your steam account in ^^’

Yeah maybe because the game was good two years after the initial release haha

Yes at four people it’s a much faster pace than with only one buddy, hilarious and fun

You know you can build an escrow out of a smart-contract (even on Bitcoin) using multi-sig to ensure both parties are satisfied ?

So there is a network and backbone to it.

Yes, Bitcoin is not a currency, it’s an open permissionless network of trust secured not by access right managment and opacity but game theory and past energy. Very useful to build currencies. I recommend you Andreas Antonopoulos work, his content age very well and everything is under CreativeCommons. A great video to start is : What is Bitcoin and why does it matters?

The problem with current transactions isn’t the money itself, it’s the services that use that currency.

It really depend where you live. For Venezualian, Lebanese, Turkish and many more people there is huge problem with their currencies and banking services. Also in Africa many ex-french colonies are forced to use Franc CFA which is basically an economic-leash by the french government. We can debate on the many issues with the USD currency but these are little (for now at least) compared to others.

As far as I know both of them are also payment processor, not only currencies.

Why would I use a third-party to store or process my Bitcoin payment? That’s the whole point you’re not forced to use a trusted third-party to store or pay. I don’t, never did.

As a swiss citizen I can tell you that there is way enough regulation covering that currency, in fact it is regulated as foreign currency (currency of cyberspace hehe). I don’t know how it is outside but also looks heavily regulated in EU and probably is in America.

I know, I’m not that stupid :D It was for the meme cuz this is the internet.

The main issue is that regular payment processors don’t do what they are suppose to do (process payment and nothing else), they freeze account for no reasons (GrapheneOS, flipper-zero, etc…) censor payment because they don’t like an industry (closed an entire plateform (UTip) because of one adult content creator), industries that already are regulated by law. Holding users funds longer than needed, or censoring for political opinion etc.

In this regard Bitcoin is neutral : You have the money, it’s a valid transaction. You pay enough fees your transaction will be confirmed sooner. Who you are, how you get this money and why you are sending it is none of the payment processor business.

Age Verification is such a scam, why are politician still doesn’t know how internet works in 2025…

I have made this apps recommandation list that has a launcher section with what I consider being the bests

I would at least take SATA SSD nowadays as it’s pretty cheap but honestly I can’t see myself go back to SATA after having enjoyed M.2 SSDs for years now.

If you want 8TB of storage I can see why HDD would be great but for 2TB or less SSD are accessible if not cheap.

The problem is copyright that benefits only a tiny group of giant companies known as “les ayants-droits” in french. Copyrights as of today are not made to benefits the artisans, the workers but the black-suit men. The whole culture has been walled like that… The music industry, cinema industry and now game-industry…

Some apps downloaded from AuroraStore are asking me to link my Google account on my device which I don’t want
I don't use Google account on most of my devices. I have an older phone on LineageOS 22.1 that I use mainly to test apps. It has GApps installed but I never sign in. I have faced a couple apps that on startup are launching the PlayStore app and ask me to sign in, I guess for "security". Is there a way to bypass that ? I don't want to link my Google profile and would love to use this app offline like I should. Is this something that could be done with LuckyPatcher ? Is there easier methods ?
