Haha I hear that! Well, I suppose there must be some good elsewhere in the chaos of 5??Thanks, I’m excited for when I get there haha

Just finished Far Cry 3 (and 4) in the last year. Excellent game(s). Taking a little pause b4 the last two

Two things: I have an S25 ultra and the bloatware can mostly be deleted or deactivated. Up to you if that is sufficient, I find it hasn’t been at all problematic.

I saw a passing post about some kind of potential battery degradation issue after 200 cycles with the pixel 10, something to do with a feature that can’t be turned off? Didn’t pay attention at the time, might have been click bait, but worth looking into for yourself maybe.

Ultimately, the only reason I didn’t get an s25 was because of an insane discount on the ultra, so I went with that. Huge fan of this phone, my first Samsung in about 7 years.

Awesome, thx! I might have to try one out for my next phone cuz I love the ethos. Enjoy! 😊

Which provider? I’ve avoided FP because I wasn’t sure the big three would support

MOH still holds a space in my library as a medal of honor to itself. That game was absolutely choice, back when cod was still also amazing

In unrelated news, my shoulder hurts cuz I’ve been laying too long 😫

Honestly one of the best games I’ve played recently is the Stanley Parable and that game is a couple of hours of poking around a quirky but literal office. Would happily buy that 60 times over one massively mediocre rpg.

This has been exactly my feeling for the past decade or so. I love open world, when you have a good concept and a solid story. But corridor is the best way to convey that story and keep the player engaged.

For me, Assassin’s Creed is the ultimate brilliance to rags example: corridor gameplay that became an open world as you progressed in the early games. Which evolved into the meandering, mindless stories of the more recent games. I genuinely have no idea what Valhalla was supposed to be about lol. I finished it, but it was 120 hours I’d rather have back. A corridor style for the late 2010/20s games would have made all of them far more interesting, as they were phenomenal concepts imo.

All this to say, I don’t mind some impactful world decisions that affect story arcs, but bring back the dang corridor and stop hiding behind massive content dumps… Damn it!

I would even argue the controversy about it is the point. It’s art. It’s meant to make you think about things you might not ever consider, and in the case of No Russian, it’s the horror of committing a terrorist attack. Imo, it’s an intentional but valuable (both financially and ethically) lesson in what art can do

In the wordle world, this is almost a big enough deal to make an x, formerly known as twitter, burner account and post on the NYT page. Just a little jab in the stomach that other ppl will see

Well now I have to go look into this kvaesisto!

Edit: how do you find the interface? I looked at the photos and it looks very interesting, kind of has some Sesame type system wide search functionality?

I came back to this several days later and was not disappointed 😍

Shoutout for Niagara. High quality reliable launcher. Only switched away after 2+ years cuz I got a little bored of the interface

This is at the point where just not displaying ads at every corner is becoming a viable business plan

Yeah I don’t understand why they don’t just own it. You’re a company trying to maximize profits, and tried money grubbing your way to more. Then you got caught and your customers didn’t like it. Admit it, move on to your next appallingly bad idea. Weak lies are the worst

I’m so excited to play this on PS5. Survived a 50 hours playthrough on PS4, liked the story enough but almost purely ground my way through due to shitty performance. This time I wanna just enjoy it as it was meant to be played :)

In a whimsical twist, I just popped my ps4 copy into my PS5 this last week to see how it had changed. I can tell you, it has VASTLY improved. The game on PS4 was constantly on limp mode, crashing somewhat often. Looked like junk, not much to redeem it. Managed to get through the whole game, but never really explored or adventured much past the story - was just too painful to try to do much more than that.

The PS5 version is actually so much better, and even visually reaching the point of impressive. The gameplay feels like I imagine they meant it to, including some fun gun- and knife-play. I’m also enjoying the story more now that I’m not constantly worrying about a crash. Do recommend a revisit if you’ve played and were disappointed (don’t worry, I recognize my PS5 may be what made the difference haha).
