Some good points. I can’t remember where I saw this, but a game recently made their loot boxes randomly generate loot which was then shown to the player who had the choice of whether or not to open a box. This is much better than blindly opening boxes where you won’t know whether or not you will want the item inside.

I think being able to see the item and having the option to purchase is much better than opening a random box that you have no idea what you’ll get.

I’m loving Doom Dark ages, I’m on about level 8 out of 22. I like that there’s enough room in levels to move around. Movement is awesome, you can just run everywhere. The weapons are extremely effective and your toolkit is reduced so you have shield-block shield-slam shield-throw melee and then guns. It’s pretty easy to remember everything you have and then select an appropriate attack for the situation.
I really love it. Hopefully there aren’t any more Mech-pilot missions because that one sucked. The dragon wasn’t my favorite either but you can make it through without much difficulty and it didn’t take forever.

I think you mean you actually like frame generation even though you seem to be jokingly comparing it to motion smoothing on a TV?

For me motion clarity is so important. I love frame generation, especially if frames are getting inserted without much delay.

They really like DLSS4 over at BlurBusters https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14189&p=111508&hilit=Dlss4#p111508

I’m about to okay for the first time. Compiling shaders zzz… Edit: it’s a lot of fun, good combination of environment, action and story (so far) I’m getting about 110 fps with a 3070ti on high settings at 1440p

That looks awesome. I realized I’m not looking forward to any upcoming games, maybe just Star citizen 5 years from now

Just following up in case anyone reads this in the future. The game is really good. In FPS games muzzle flash obscures the target and there’s a little of this here, and there’s a rhythm to shooting enemies and then stopping when they are dead so you don’t waste ammo. Once you get used to it, it feels like a challenging part of the game. I didn’t find the map key until like an hour ago and I wandered around a lot looking for the next thing. Navigating is a large part of the game, because exits and tunnels are not always obvious. Sometimes it’s irritating especially if you don’t use the map. Movement and the world are awesome

It’s difficult to compete with Chinese companies that operate at a loss and are subsidized by the Chinese government.

The metro was a letdown. I was excited to ride it around, then when I did it was like being locked in a cutscene that lets you look around. I wanted to walk around in the metro car and look out the windows, that’s all.

I just looked through all the settings, there doesn’t seem to be a way to change it back.

Did they? They voted on a resolution that affirms Israel’s right to exist. Can you show the part of the resolution that conflates anti-zionism with antisemitism?

I’m not arguing for the resolution or anything, I just don’t see what you see.

I read that the company that was supposed to be doing QA testing really fucked them.
