Way to twist the facts. The difference is that the powerlimits aren’t working properly on Linux not that it can offer more.

His test was supposed to be at 17w but it was running over 20w in linux.

Tbf if Linux was running at the same tdp it would be the same speed, as shown by 13w tests

The 17w is actually 16w vs 20w+ and 35w is 25w vs 35w+.

So the article is very wrong and misleading. Watch the actual video and post attention to the power draw and clock speeds.

Exactly this is a good use of robots. We just need an actual support system for people that doesn’t require them to work insane hours and ties Healthcare to jobs.

Some form of basic income, Healthcare and affordable housing should be the norm and let robots handle tedious tasks.

Sadly we are skipping the quality of life steps

Nope this is purely from a broken test. Watch the video and you’ll see that its not testing with the same power limits.

17w tests are actually 16w vs 20w+ and 35w test is 25w vs 35w

This leads to drastically higher clock speeds on both cpu and gpu as seen in the video and thus higher fps (and power draw, so lower battery life)

Look at the actual video that Tom’s is pulling data from. There is clearly a bug with the tdp limiting in Linux which is using far more power and thus higher clock speeds.

The only valid results are 13w vs 13w. The “17w” is actually 16w windows vs 20w+ Linux and “35w” is actually 25w vs 35w.

If only people would so using it and burn oracle’s money.

Unfortunately just more data direct to govt so they can suppress and dox people they don’t like

Welp idiots decided to vote for another trump recession and rights trampling so here we are.

He tanked the economy his first term, covid covered for it but it was about to crash before it hit because he makes insane policies and fires any competent.

They’ve had same sku different vram for a while. 480 4gb and 8gb.

As long as the core counts and such are the same it’s fine.

If vram isn’t a bottleneck performance should be equal

Did you read the tweet? It said most people don’t need more, but that they offer a 16gb version if you do. That’s completely reasonable.

I’d like to see someone else reproduce the original test results. Seen the same set of data posted multiple times and honestly the numbers look like major outlier and either different settings or something wrong on wibdows.

Games with casino style gambling to unlock characters or skins or whatever. Often times you’ll have like 1/100 chance to unlock a character you want when opening a “box”.

Hugly mobile popular games run like this with new more powerful characters releasing monthly

I mean ms killed off mixed reality (windows vr headsets) in latest win11. So I’ve got a useless headset now 🙃

What the hell are you ranting about? It’s common knowledge that he did last term as well.

In 2018, the U.S. government under former president Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on certain products made in China. This included graphics cards, motherboards, SSDs, and other products that rely on printed circuit boards. The Trump administration then suspended tariffs on products such as ‘graphics processing modules’ and ‘unfinished logic boards’ in September 2019 till January 2021. The Biden administration did not remove the import rule altogether, but continued to temporarily suspend it using a temporary exclusion process.

Easy to have a stock shortage when you only send a dozen cards to the stores

Because cyberpunk dev team is made up of a bunch of nvidia engineers at this point. It has been for a while now

It was social engineering.

They compromised a Steam account via steam support to test its password and because it a linked they gained access and modified about 60 accounts.

Sounds like a cpu issue (not yours, theirs) if it can’t even run 69 fos while upscaling to 1080p. Big yikes. MH usually ran pretty well on PC.

I know the cloud option ruined perf in MHW, could see if lowering thst helps at all or playing on medium and see if cpu perf goes up, then trying settings a few at a time to full and see which breaks.

Many cards used to use 3 connectors so you’d run two lines and a third from the second connector of one of the lines.

The diagram op posted is from nvidia and seasonic and fixes many stability issues, not fire hazzards
