I can pet cats and pigeons? Sold.

Very cool, I have fond memories of playing this on the original Xbox. It had some features, such as the squad management, that were pretty advanced at the time. Looking forward to check it out.

I can’t remember the last time I was so hyped for a video game.

It’s been pretty quiet around it since the Embracer debacle but the dev just confirmed that development is ongoing:

Huh, what was their reasoning behind the decision?

>Core Decay is an upcoming indie first-person action role-playing video game developed by Ivar Hill and Slipgate Ironworks, and published by 3D Realms. Described as a "philosophical sci-fi adventure", the game takes inspiration from classic 1990s shooters Descent, Deus Ex and System Shock.

Since most people sign into Windows with their Microsoft account, does that mean that MS holds the decryption keys for your local hard drive?

This is exactly it. Most of their major titles utilize some new tech or groundbreaking feature and whatever they have planned for HL3 is just not ready yet.

Not really, the first one was better in pretty much every single regard.

I see, I installed it through Aurora on my device. But you can just download the apk from their Github or https://lawnchair.app/ instead. Only Google PlayStore seems to have disabled the download even though the app still works perfectly fine.

That’s odd, I’m on Android 14 and it works just fine here.

I switched to Lawnchair 2. It’s free, open source and quite versatile. Probably not as much as Nova, though it’s been a few years since I last used it.

Yes, the story of the first game is kinda open-ended and this is a direct continuation.

Same here, I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a new game.

No info yet but I would be very surprised if it gets cancelled at this stage. The remakes sold very well apparently and Mafia 4 has been in development for quite some time already.

Gotta agree with you there. Mafia 3 was a decent game but it didn’t really fit the tone of the series. The fact that they nailed the Remake of Mafia 1 makes me hopeful for the sequel.

The whole game was so ambitious for a new and independent studio that I’m surprised that only some minor things like this got scrapped.

The devs recently posted pictures of their visits to medieval castles in the area that the first game takes place. Henry’s actor was also spotted in Prague a couple of days ago. It’s pretty safe to say that it’s going to be a sequel of some sort.

MSI says that this game tracking won’t just be limited to League of Legends, as it’ll be releasing an application that’ll allow you to train these features to recognise and react to enemies and other on-screen elements in any game you like.

The whole unfair advantage thing aside, this is a really cool feature that might have a bigger range of application than just gaming.

You can no longer buy the game on Steam though.

Don’t forget that Epic buys up existing licenses to sell them as exclusives. They even pulled Rocket League from Steam after buying the studio.

The one game that doesn’t deserve to be on this list is Crime Boss: Rockay City. It may not be great but it has some decent mechanics and you can feel that the devs really poured their heart into a game that was extremely ambitious for such a small studio.

And Skull Island: Rise of Kong deserves at least a honorable mention. The only reason it’s not in the list is that not enough professional reviewers bothered with the title. The Metascore of 23 would earn it first place.

It’s pretty cool how they documented the design change. I thought the 2013-2023 version looked the best but I gotta admit that the new one looks pretty slick when it’s combined with the cover art.
