I do that too, simply because I’m always carrying around my wallet anyway. But sometimes using my phone is handy (heh). It’s just that the constantly changing state or it working and not working makes it so that I can’t trust it to work, so I use it less.

I find it funny that Google and some banks are so worried about security on Android that I have to have up to date system, app and can’t be custom ROM, can’t be rooted and whatnot. And then they’ll allow you to login to their bank from Internet Explorer on XP or some shit.

There are different types of workaround but every single one of them is playing same cat and mouse game with Google. It works for a while, then it doesn’t, workaround is updated, it works, then it doesn’t, rinse and repeat.

I’m using a custom ROM but it’s so fucking tiring if I want to keep Google Wallet working. Fucking Google.

Google decides to use the Gemini name for their AI stuff either knowing other company has patent or whatever on that name when it comes to AI or just doing it anyway. Google asks Patent Office to give them the name, they are told no. Then some “mysterious third party” tries to buy out the other company. They figure it is Google trying to circumvent the patent, they stop contact and just sue Google.

Almost every plan is uncapped, but a few (at least one I know of) does, name the cheapest offering from Moi. But that’s the rare exception and it’s a plan specifically known and tailored to be cheapest of the cheap.

Wasn’t it so that you could wreck them with foot archers? Even if they can’t fire further (don’t remember if that was the case) having foot archer vs horse archer shootout was always really costly exchange for the horsey bois.

And it takes a lot of time to train soldiers to effectively ride horses, shoot bows and especially to ride horses while shooting bows while also making sure there’s enough money/logistics to take care of those troops. Much easier to give tons of people a simple bow and tell them to have at it. Or spears. Just… spears for everyone.

I think playing with them can be fun. And done right they usually have some counter. For example, foot archers being able to fire further than the horse archers so ample enough of foot archers should be able to cause them problems.

That’s one way to say it. I think early on they had the cost advantage to retail and needed to convince people to buy digitally instead of traditionally, so lower cut. But of course they, as any company, would keep it near to as high as possible while being competitive. I’m not trying to shit on Valve by saying that, it’s just how it works for any company.

For me it’s important that my banking works (so far they haven’t complained about unlocked bootloader, only about root) but Wallet is just nice to have. And that doesn’t work with unlocked bootloader but did work with root. I guess it’s no root for me since I haven’t managed to juggle them both.

Sucks that Google is doing this. I don’t even have root and they are complaining. Makes having a custom rom annoying sometimes.

Funnily enough I had issues with Wallet working on my phone since I have unlocked bootloader but no root. Banking and everything else afaik worked. So I installed all that stuff, Magisk, Magisk Hide, I don’t even remember all the things I tried and what it resulted in was now since I was actually rooted all the banking apps and other stuff stopped working.
