That would be awesome! I have a lot of games I’d like to see in the HD-2D style.

I've been waiting for this to drop from the first trailer. Fantastic remake with a lot of tools to help first time players. Anyone else playing?

Its insane that custom launchers are even needed. I gave the base Samsung version a try and it wont even let me move the app drawer button, its glued to the bottom right. I’d expect an android to let me customize more than windows. Never understood the big tech companies need for this much control. Some brand manager will have a heartattack if I change an app icon, a basic feature in any version of Windows.

I hope this means they are working on a sequel? Otherwise I dont know why they went through all this effort.

Also if all of the official characters are getting a graphic upgrade, and theres a new official character, its pretty bullshit we dont get this on Xbox. I get we don’t have Steam workshop but theres a lot of other content here.

Good game soundtracks?
I've been looking for some more instrumental music to listen to while working, besides putting FF and Stardew on loop.

The first one felt chaotic and the portal system felt bad. Looks like they’re tackleing those two issues so I hope it turns out well.

Yes, fantastic show! Someone in the crowd yelled something like “Anyone who isn’t excited for Tycho has no clue how good this is going to be” and he was totally right.

If you add in the price for the carts of the other games included the deal is even better.

Got to see him live opening for Interpol! Absolutely incredible.

Making a smash clone before ultimate dropped was smart. The market was clearly ready for a good platform fighter and Sm4sh was easy to upstage. But now its a lot more questionable. You have to have everything right, gameplay, roster, marketing, and luck to stand a chance.

Spellsiphon changes the gameplay massively. Its what I found when I had the same question as you a few months back and it was exactly what I was looking for.

Hell yeah. I always catch as much as I can live and watch the rest over the next couple weeks.

Gives Jet Set Radio anti-authority vibes. Looking forward to playing this.

For myself and many people Skyrim is the best game they’ve ever played. It was the first fantasy game I played since Runescape to have multiple cities spread out through an open world, with long narrative multi stage quests involving a number of locations and NPCs. Both games also have a leveling sytem based around you get better at what you use ie “skilling”.

I want “TES 6” in that I want another game that hits those marks, but I no longer trust Bethesda to make it.

Edit: note I know a lot of people dislike skyrim and think calling it a great game is absurd, and I get the criticism but I love the game anyway

Why in the world does this have so many downvotes? Lemmy voters can be so hostile to content, and then commenters seem cool. I don’t understand it at all.

Congrats on your first video! It’s well shot. I want the PS5 pro to drop so I can talk me brother into getting it and giving me his PS5.

Never saw this as a kid but it was mentioned in [this video](https://youtu.be/uGEs5h-pSrI) and I was cracking up. Great series by the way, he goes through all of Sunshine's levels and talks about the little things the designers put in that most people likely miss.

Its more than that. If you go to the tiers youll see gods, nymphs, and major npc roles all available to backers to buy the right to create.

Link to the kickstarter

This is bittersweet. First person fantasy is my favorite genre but I just cant support parceling out your games integrity to the highest bidders. Seeing people pay 4 grand to be a god, cities full of npcs and portraits and statues of people who paid to be there. It just feels wrong to me.

Very excited for this, first person fantasy is an unfortunately rare combo

I’ve yet to play a game with bullet time that I didn’t love

Looks like a lot of fun! Now I have to find for people to play it with…

The first person monster punching part is wild

I really like the main characters design! I anyways think white hair looks good on a protagonist.

Looks awesome I love the art! Applied for the Beta and supported on Patreon. <3

I’ve been playing through all the numbered games and its been great.

Its a numbered game and I’ve been playing the numbered games up till now. I’ve never played 11 maybe the stories incredible I think its worth asking in the context of what I’m doing.

It still has a decent population and it is a numbered Final Fantasy game, I don’t think it’s too crazy to consider (I will probably skip it though)

Oh thats fine! Just not the NES version. I love 8bit stuff but it can be a lot harder to get into.

I think II is really cool! I recommend the GBA version though.

Thanks for the details! I might try to beat the Shadow Lord and then see how I feel about continuing.

Aha thats brutal. Thats why the MMOs should never have been numbered games! Final Fantasy: Online would have gotten the point across.

If you’ve done the Final Fantasy marathon did you include FF XI? Was it worth it?
I've been playing through all the numbered games and its been great. I could write an essay or two on any of them. In general I'm only including base games and no expansions or DLC so it wouldn't be a huge undertaking to beat 11, but I'm trying to see if it's worth it from others who have done the marathon. I was already a XIV player before I started this so that base game has been covered for awhile now.

Article gets kinda weird at the end and calls the review bombing harassment. Seems like a 180 from the beginning of the article, unless the writer thinks Sony would have changed its mind with 0 protest action.

Typo in the title, it’ll let you edit it

Glad Sony was able to make the obvious decision. Hopefully all the people defending them feel a bit silly.

I love the momentum. I feel like I’ve seen Ross become more and more optimistic as this has gone along.

Anecdotal but my group is wide and our queue times are like max 5 minutes. We are way lower rank than most streamers though.

[PDF version](https://www.nma-fallout.com/resources/the-fallout-bible-complete-by-chris-avellone.16/) [Fallout Wiki page](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_Bible) I'd never seen this before, and its fun to get an inside look into the early lore. They talk about playing pen and paper Fallout to test new perks, I wish I could go back in time and join those games.

Best sidequests in the Fallout games?
I'm doing a playthrough of 3, New Vegas, and 4. Mostly focused on beating the main quests and the DLCs but I want to make sure I hit the best side quests on the way. I'm making my push to finish 3 right now and I've finished the DLC, Oasis, cannibals, vampires, ant quest, the other ant quest, and a bunch of stuff I'm probably forgetting. Quests marked or unmarked from any of the games are welcome, and if any fans of 1 or 2 want to share I'd be glad to hear about those too. (👁 ͜ʖ👁)
