Yeah, sure, the same way I made BL3 happen.

Wait until the DLC is all out and hit the high seas.

We’ll find out in Kingdom Hearts Ultimix Collection Vol 3, where what work was done will be stitched together into a 6-hour long movie.

I feel like it makes sense for the planned market, but not outside of it. MMOs are generally more popular in China, from what I’ve seen.

Damn, surprised Hotline Miami made that little. It feels like it’s still a fairly well known indie title. Not Stardew Valley big, but large enough that people still refer to it occasionally.

If you put a spool of silk next to a harp, the fans would lose their absolute shit at this point.

We’ve been starving for awhile.

You got a real funny way of spelling Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Protip: To kill Death, shoot it until it dies.

This is a really interesting question. In my opinion, absolutely yes. It’s a piece of someone’s hobby, a passion large or small. A time capsule of things that made someone happy.

Beyond that, in cases like the authors friends love of Sea of Thieves, it can show a bit of the community they sought, the people they interacted with. A small tendril of ourselves, reaching out and entwining with others.

And, for those who maybe only knew the person online, never had the chance or want for an in-person meetup, it’s a place to mourn. A digital marker of a life once lived, a finished book of memories. The games themselves may come and go, but the traces they left will be there, captured in achievements and screenshots, to be shared as long as a copy exists.

It’s been 13 years. 3 released all the way back in the PS3/360 era.

Not complaining about more Ninja Gaiden. Just feels a bit weird to see 4 after what feels like the series was just left on hiatus. Kinda figure they’d take the chance to get a fresh start, though the plot seems like it’s more a soft reboot.

From the same series that has two volleyball games.

With a focus on “social” gifting including skimpier swimwear and suggestive posing.

With a story that revolves around a rich pervert wanting a bunch of young girls in bikinis running around.

It’s weird to think about an MMO getting a remaster. They’ve kinda just been “living” things that one day die, and maybe come back on a new engine under a slightly different name or return more aggressively monetized.

An ongoing series of soft relaunches with some minor branding changes.

“Will 2025 have less layoffs?”

Gestures broadly at industry trends

No.

There’s also Mini Motorways. Same concept, different pieces. Heavily recommend both, both can scratch those “I just want to have a chill time” and “I wanna optimize and challenge myself” itches.

Super easy to pick up, spend your lunch break placing lines, and go back to whatever you were doing.

How many studios are about to be sacrificed to balance the scales for this?

You have activated one of my hyper fixations(people who do hour+ essays on the most useless of shit). If you can handle the occasional 1-3 hours of a monotone voice, Davey is actually a lot of fun.

One of my favorites, his list of war crimes featured in the Pokedex. He’s also done StarCraft stuff(obviously), Balloons Tower Defense, and a few other things. He also doesn’t really post terribly often. It can take months for him to record and edit a project down, and he normally has 2 or more going at once.

Bonus: You’ll get to learn about Bug. Bug is a good boy. We love Bug.

I can’t believe I forgot the Thief games! Absolute classics. I need to get around to replaying them sometime soon.

Opposing Forces is the better of the two, but if you enjoyed the general story/feel of Half-Life, they’re definitely worth at least giving a shot.

Deus Ex and System Shock should definitely be on your list, just skip Deus Ex: Invisible War.

Also, as I don’t see them listed, did you check out Blue Shift and Opposing Forces? They’re 2 Half-Life expansions made by Gearbox, back in the day, that show the events of HL1 from different points of view.

Terraria keeps having “last” updates.

It’s better to accept that during the heat death of the universe, someones going to be pushing out one last big update.

What about the fuse boxes? I see the other fixes, but what about all the goddamn fuse boxes‽

You can do it right this time, please cut out some of that monotony.

Is Gearbox just ultra-sympathetic to their fans(not calling this a bad thing, I genuinely hope they are) or does getting diagnosed with a terminal illness make you go “Y’know what? Fuck it”.

Cause I feel like when I read “terminally ill fan”, it’s either about when Blizzard gave a fuck about their players, or Borderlands.

Its only been 13 years?

I can’t tell if I feel old, or need to figure out how the fuck 100 years has passed in 13.

It was supposed to be a part of one, until the studio went into bankruptcy and ended up being partially owned by New Jersey.

The story behind KoA is absolutely nuts. They wanted to make an MMO sequel, with R.A Salvatore still on the writing, but due to bloat and mismanagement, ended up massively in debt and plans for a sequel got scrapped.

I haven’t opened a PTCG pack since…

The OG Starter Decks.

Yeah, even if they want to keep it primarily to the collecting, there needs to be more.

I know it’ll never happen, but I remember Konami putting out Yu-Gi-Oh cards with special codes on them to coincide with some of the games. You typed in your code, you unlocked that card in-game. Would be nice if TPC could work out something similar, so your actual efforts could be part of your digital collection.

I’m kinda surprised, actually. I’m enjoying it, so far, but it’s pretty bare bones if you’re not looking to drool over pretty cards. We can’t even trade them yet, at best you have battles or putting them in a display.

I was extremely late to the party with Inquisition, was there anywhere near this much gnashing of teeth over Krem? Like, his identity is pretty heavily tied to his history, it’s part of why he even ended up with the Bull’s in the first place.

Xenogears deserves the FF7 treatment, damn near. They’d have to straight up recreate the second disc that was absolutely butchered into what we got.

Now, if we can get that rolling, can we also throw Saga into the mix? Please? Fuck, just pretty up the front half in an emulator, but give us the proper ending. 3 totally redone, in it’s original design, and a complete 4th chapter.

Tell these stories right, the way they were meant to be told.

Wasn’t this also in the big FPS Wave of the era? I keep wanting to put it alongside Resistance: Fall of Man, and kinda remember that being the defining trait of most of those titles. Decent, but overall forgettable, experiences.

That somehow culminate in the existence of Haze, and we should be ashamed of ourselves as a species for that.

Where they gettin’ arrested at this go around? Gotta top what happened in Greece.

There’s someone at this company who saw what they grabbed and decided to relive their childhood.

This just seems like an oddball grab in the bag that is classic Star Wars titles.

It’s about the only staple of the series left.

Diablo had Hellfire, 2 had Lords of Destruction, 3 had Reaper of Souls. All decent titles for an expansion pack.

And all contained in the palm of your hand.

So much swapping back to that damned flashlight, I will never understand that decision. It didn’t build tension, it just made me get really good at beating things to death so I didn’t have to keep switching out.

You can get it on the eShop. Stardew is on pretty much any device that can run it. With mod support, if at all possible.

It’s kinda wild to see how many big PC mods have an Android version these days.

There’s just a mild dissonance between that title(which is an awful thing, hopefully they all land on their feet after this), and the happy as fuck Disney Magic Kingdoms image.

You happy about this, Mickey? Does this please your cold corporate heart? They shoulda tied you to the anchor and left you for erased, you sick rat.

Hell, I’m an oldass, I remember seeing people talk about Linkshells with certain interests on the forums and in-game. FFXIVs sense of community has been awesome for a long time, and they’ve only improved it from what I’ve seen.
