Same. I will not, however, be buying a console for it.

I got my pc for gaming, it even lets me tweak accessibility through various controller types, trainers (for single player games), and input mapping when my hand is acting up, allowing me to enjoy games when I would otherwise be unable to.

Shame, I would have loved to play it.

Love how they chose Valve specifically. I’d think it’d be better going after the companies making those games rather than a distributor.

Not really gonna discourage the game creators from making loot box mechanics.

Though I will say that I think any and everyone profiting from loot boxes should get fined wherever and whenever possible. I’d just start somewhere more impactful.

Edit: I see I had a proper logical short circuit in my original statement.

I only considered loot boxes as mechanics required for game changing advantages, gear, and loot. Not things like cosmetics.

Last time I played CS it didn’t even have cosmetics, I only played DOTA as a Warcraft 3 mod, and I thought TF2 was limited to hats and sidegrades that could be unblocked through playing and achievements still.

Furthermore, I didn’t stop to consider that people would actually gamble their money away on in game cosmetic items.

That’s on me, not taking the time to consider things properly in the early morning hours.

I’d like to thank the people who pointed out my error, and I’m pleasantly surprised about how civil and to the point everyone was. A nice throwback to how I remember the internet used to be, though I’m probably looking at that with rose tinted goggles too.

Cheers!

Shit’s free in the toilet. I’m not picking that up either.

Ah. I’ll have to look into more of his work then, should be exciting. Thanks!

Very nice. I do tend to live under a rock at times, so he must have snuck by when I wasn’t looking.

Thank you so much for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check him out!

I had no idea who this Jason fellow was prior to this, but that list is essentially made up of games i either have either played, are planning to play, or were unsure about giving a shot. Much more confident in bumping the uncertain ones onto my wishlist now, seems we have similar tastes in games.

I do hope you’re as purposeful in misunderstanding me as I am in taking the costume/customer typo as an intended choice of wording.

If so, kudos for beating me at my own game, because I’m not sure!

But this does nothing to address my need for towering pillars of hats, masks, and outfits!

Wouldn’t Steam, with TF2, be the most costumer oriented?

On being customer oriented on the other hand, Steam could use some improvement.

I’m certain it’ll be someone’s uncle! Seems everyone has one what works there.

The problem is discord though, and the discord account requirement to even browse. I’m sure there’s things I’d like to read and reflect on in that discord server, but I’m not making a discord account. Any of the other ones I’d still be able to read and lurk without that buy in.

I wish people wouldn’t use Discord for everything. Just once can we use something else? A forum? A lemmy community? Heck, even reddit is still more usable for discussion.
