Your brain acclimates to being in VR the more you play so the headaches should disappear after a few sessions.

I’d say the issue these days is there aren’t enough fresh VR titles coming out.

It’s made by the original Descent devs and it genuinely slaps :)

I just got a cool little modern “missile command” game called Utopia Must Fall. Fantastic deck rouge lite. Also, why the hell was I sleeping on Noita? What an amazing game especially for the deck. I have a cross Atlantic flight coming up and I’m sorted

Ah, yeah - Lightroom itself is their crown jewel these days, let’s be honest

Damn, Adobe doesn’t support Linux at all? Guess I’m staying on Windows too :/

Too true about the venn diagram. If SC was on Linux, I bet the Lemmy community would be thriving lol.

As for what I’m excited for, honestly just new star systems. I’m getting really tired of the original Stanton system as I’ve done and seen pretty much everything it has. The new system Pyro is apparently supposed to release before the end of the year so that would be really cool to see.

In the meantime we’ve been doing illegal bounty missions which has you destroying law abiding NPC ships and pirating their loot- it’s pretty fun and you can make a fortune doing it :)

I play it and enjoy it. Haven’t spent more than $45 and have put in hundreds of hours with friends.

There is a Lemmy SC community but it’s pretty dead unfortunately

Been playing all day, had to force myself to bed. I like how the game reminds you, like “hey bud you’ve been on for 6 hours now, while we frown upon resting, we frown upon fatigue more”

What an amazing game. First playthrough and I’m getting Tom Cruise Oblivion vibes mixed with subnautica

Yes but now you can let the advertisers know whenever and how fast you’re … enjoying your time

Try these gems:

  • Vampire Survivors
  • Death must die
  • Dead Cells
  • Animal Well

It’s as if they were made specifically for the Steam Deck

Damn, that’s the same singular issue I’ve been having too lol

Oh, trust me I know the 56k dance, too bad I never learned how to actually dance…

However! I have since purchased the game, and it is just as spicy as the reviews say :) level design is interesting, it throws in some puzzle mechanics between the gore fest

The funny thing is that with these doom engine games it might as well be a project from 2001 :)

Well that link just leads to somebody mocking you then leads to another thread about how the license thing is totally bullshit lol

but won’t somebody think of the shareholders?? Line must go up!!

But for real though the steam deck was always going to be a better option for so many reasons

Can confirm that Minecraft runs very well on ARM MacBooks

Also been rocking Xperia for the last few years and I have no reason to ever look further. Amazing phones :)

Have you considered the Sony flagships? They fit all your criteria except maybe the bootloader bit

So I just checked and it seems like they recycled other planet surfaces for the new planets in a totally different sector. This sparks sadness

I mean, I’m running high detail shaders and distant horizons and my game runs like butter, as does my partner’s who has a 2060 ti.

You’d be amazed how well fabric java Minecraft can run. For me there is zero point in even entertaining the idea of using bedrock.

I also run a java server with the geyser mod which means that bedrock players can play on it if they need to.

Java will always be the superior Minecraft version.

ITT: Mental Gymnastics competition to see how well one can defend corporate greed

Instead of the sax talk, I’m going to sit them down to chat about how cheating in video games is bad m’kay

TIL to make my future children their own steam accounts

Yeah sadly looks like it’s not updated for newer versions of Android :/

I’ve never seen people say this, but if they do, fuck em
