Don’t get me wrong, I love starfield, but the creation engine and faux rpg thing they have going is starting to heavily show its age.

They’ll probably wipe it TBH, but it won’t hurt your warranty or anything.

They probably don’t but want to set up limited scope testing to avoid having to argue over a battery not randomly working because a random rom is installed.

It’s dumb but I get why it’s done.

I loved ifixit and now asurion. They have always treated me so fucking well.

You find a repair shop, you give them like $15 + battery cost when it’ll take about an hour.

The stores I’ve used are Google authorized and had no warranty implications. They will probably have to factory reset the phone to run their tests but I would call them to just ask instead of looking for generic advice.

Imagine still believing you’re going to get a functioning game.

I was an initial Kickstarter who pretty much knew this was going to happen but had $60 to gamble. Fucking lolol the development hell has far exceeded my wildest expectations for Roberts inability to deliver a finished project.

The game was great for from day one.I can’t recall any significant issues. The Xbox one and PS4 stuff was dumb as all hell and shouldn’t have happened but everyone overreacted on the rest.

It’s an absurd value. I have two that I just use as media centers and the house. You can also travel with it very easily. About the same size as my switch one you put a travel case on it.

Larian is largely getting a free pass for an unoptimized mess in act 2 and 3. Pent up demand for a good CRPG has made a lot of gold completely ignore the very obvious issues.

DOS2 has sold 5M copies over the life of it. BG3 has sold nearly 10M in the first month on steam alone. Probably close to 30M over the life of the game.

It’s several orders of magnitude more successful and easily the most successful CRPG ever. You all really are missing the scale.

BG3 is an outlier. I completely understand why it wasn’t on the radar. Pent up DnD demand + decent execution sent it to the moon.

I’ll happily rent most games for absurdly cheap and purchase the few I might play more than once. You can spend significantly more creating a dusty catalog. There is plenty of room for competition 😉

I love it. I fucking love it. My opinion absolutely enrages the masses here. Me wanting Nintendo games on game pass is just making blood boil.

Locked into what? More than you are locked into steam? You just make crap up 🤣

Tell me you couldn’t be less informed lol. Microsoft will let you convert gold into game pass ultimate allowing you to rack up 3 years for like $70. It’s an absurd value and you just want to hand waive it away because it doesn’t support you🤣

Yes. They are fantastic. Y’all just st lazy attacking me instead of dealing with your copium.

MS sells a capable device at a price point lower than any PC even close in performance and you bitch about upgrading 🤣

🙄 screaming monopoly in gaming while stream is a thing is an absurd proposition. Game development has an absurdly low barrier to entry and is easily one of the most competitive markets on the planet. Citing a B tier player who is the most open of the console makers as a monopoly when players like Steam, Nintendo, and Sony exist is insane. Gamepass is a fantastic value, MS is a big reason cross play exists, and people lose their shit if a game isn’t available through steam.

Microsoft is one of the companies innovating TBH and I have no issues getting more games on streaming, console, and my PC for effectively $2.50/month once you convert gold. Easily the best value in gaming I’ve had in 30+ years of gaming.

Not having to buy a$300 outdated phone to enjoy the 5 things I enjoy on Nintendo would be a godsend.

Hand waving. The work is somewhere.

Either the team had free time and weren’t being used to capacity, employees aren’t doing continuing education during work anymore, or they are being overworked. You don’t just magically take on scope and not have labor hours shift at a bare minimum.

I refuse to take anyone at face value when they say they are using physical hardware, setting up automation, and running support on all of that and the labor hours are described as peanuts.

I also wonder what they are doing for security and data privacy.

Lmaoooooo anyone doing price comparison without labor should be immediately ignored as ignorant and with an agenda.

Yeah dude lets just push back that game for a year or two while we wait for the next gen. I’m sure that’s just free and not costly at all.

I would fucking love to get Nintendo shit off of the switch. And trash every single line of code that run Nintendos online service. Fuck, can Nintendo do even a single decent multiplayer experience?

What a bunch of whiney cunts.

Imagine bitching because your 10 year old phone GPU can’t push polygons.

You are lucky they made it work as well as they did on switch and don’t charge you EXTRA for the absurd amount of optimization that it must have took to get it even workable.

Gaming community will now approach every little thing at unity like the end of the world rather than middle management not knowing when to escalate a gap in policy, miscommunication, or just a dumb single person making a dumb call.

Just quit bg3 because it was too buggy. I literally can’t beat the final boss so fuck larian hard in that regard. They are getting a real free pass on bugs due to pent up DND demand.

Onto starfield which is probably going to be a mess too 😑

Lolol you just described the past 10 years of the Sims. It has been, from day 1, a glorified store. And people love it.

Yes, have you even played bg3? It stutters way way more and is plenty enjoyable. They both did a mid tier job of optimization.

Look I like the game so I’m not trying to say it’s bad in any way but you are just making excuses. Pent up demand doesn’t excuse the bugs. Fuck, they didn’t even need to develop the underlying systems, they already have 5e and the engines.

I love the rage over this. You’ve all clearly never met most of the people playing this game. They already spend hundreds on DLC, it’s the majority of the game.

Frankly this is a $70 discount for most fans.

Yet larian constantly gets free passes.

Any serious bitching about SF seems to me to be nitpicking from folks who were just looking to bitch at Bethesda. It’s a fantastic game with minor issues that are easily overlooked and don’t really affect the experience.
