The best example i can think of this is in the game barotrauma, someone once asked "why do you grief?" The question itself is best answered by Bartle's Multiplayer Psychology maxim. We all lean toward some aspects of basic multiplayer motivations: Socialites, Explorers, Achievers or Killers. If you don't have much 'killer' (defined as someone who gets their fun by causing a negative reaction in others) in you, then it's hard to understand that motivation. Of course, few griefers will admit to that need. No-one is 100% one motivation, but Our Explorers lean toward Engineer roles, our Socialites are Medics or Captains, while our Achievers and more balanced motivation players tend toward Captains and Security. This is the only way I can understand killers/griefers, as I struggle to see the emotional reward in the action.

Looks very fun, although I have given ONI a go, it gets surprisingly hard later on

Hmmm, only if it doesn’t have a time based system, I always end up hacking those games to get past all the iap stuff cause I’m impatient

Yeah non dominant hand got cut, fortunately, it’s damn near finals so that might have been bad

It’s been a frickin minute but I used to love little busters and another popular one I forget it’s name

Sliced off the tip of my thumb, what are some good one handed games?
Long story short, I was trying to make some pork buns and it ended with the tip of my thumb being sliced off, after hospital visit and six stitches and back. But I'm kind of bored out of my mind. Can't do the steam deck. Can't do really anything with a controller. I have a large library of games, most of which I haven't even played. Anything that might be good for me? I could always put some hours into rimworld

I tried it and had a pretty good time, of course biggest complaint was getting sniped all the time and the damn medics not doing their jobs, but having the any player can revive you and medic pull you is pretty great. Honestly haven't had fun with a shooter like this in a while. It's a shame that EA has their big fat face on it but otherwise, yeah, I liked it.

Guys. I know we aren’t forgetting halo 3 here

This is why I use user agent spoofer extensions in firefox, I don’t have to deal with “you’re on a phone so here’s half the functionality” bullshit

My man, I get the sentiment, but as someone who regularly has to do work on an apple for my fiancee, it’s still not worth it.

They don’t care as I understand, they just want to hold an iron grip over their ecosystem

Because there was a heartfelt goodbye and everything in the matrix server for it, last I was aware, yeah, they were saying it was dead. Good thing it’s back though

My man I hate to say this but pretty sure lineage kicked the bucket last year, at least that what was happening when I had to change phones last year and Got the community notification

Side note. We need to do something, now. Only problem is, I don’t know what

Gonna stop you right there boss, I have been on this earth 30 years. Trust every method of trying to follow along, that I have tried.

And I think people are getting too hung up on Duolingo, that’s just the closest thing I can compare to.

what I personally need is repetition. And nothing has been more effective that whoever coded the algebraic problems in blackboard. It pulls up a generated problem from a set or concept, I work it out on paper and input it into the input, which uses either math text or latex. Its fantastic. Except you can’t pull up problems on demand and it’s not in a mobile format so it’s a bit of work getting in practice on the go.

True but you forget, we all learn in different ways, I’ve found the organic chem teacher and honestly, I can’t focus on videos, my brain simply does not work that way, I learn mostly by doing

If you don’t know just say that, I’ve actually gone through the various android app stores and searched, and as we sometime still say ityfos

Its very simple math, it’s good for kids that’s about it

Why has there never been an algebra or calculus learning app?
Now hear me out, there are some apps that are more or less just study guides but I was thinking of something like Duolingo that could handle math inputs up to like calculus levels. I know this is possible because sites like symbolab, Wolfram and even the testing and homework software the schools use can decipher complex functions and determine if they're correct. How come no one has made a gamified math tool for people at the college level? One reason ive heard said is "noone is interested" but... Money is very interesting and I know plenty of college students would be drooling for an app like this. So I'm just asking you all, what do you think would be the big holdout for you as a developer to not take on a project like this. Why do you think no one's made it?

I have it but I would love a key for my fiancée to play with me, we can finally be warring couples with Abigail and Sebastian

What is your personal favorite multiplayer game and what is it’s fatal flaw?
I'll start, RuneScape, it used to be about adventure but now it's about efficiency. Runner up, rust, very active community, but toxic playerbase and people usually abandon when a world isn't fresh

I mean, tbf, he shows how it wasn’t really apathy in the video but rather mostly misinformation from a certain YouTuber

The games selection are actually pretty good, as long as you don’t choose any of the amazon gaming ones. Those are crap

Honestly all this game needs for a 10 out of 10 from me is to be able to take the annoying fan to Dive Rock, cast paralysis on him and give him a little nudge.

I will say, all that aside, there’s one thing I hated about oblivion. The FUCKING OBLIVION GATES, ugh so tedious, when I first learned there was mods I think the first one I downloaded was one that let you skip them for my next playthrough, but I would love to see if they somehow make them less grindy in this one

They kind of did fuschia with the shivering isles iirc

Never said I wasn’t excited friend, I would love to have another romp through my childhood. I complain because I love this game, and would like to see it how I remember. If it comes out with the brown filter over it, it’s whatever, it’s oblivion it will get modded back.

But I daresay there’s much worse things we could be doing online than griping about an old favorite, harmless fun I’d say.

Right? I grew up in oblivion so when Skyrim came out with its dull brownish greys I was super disappointed, still can’t really get into the game that much. Then a miracle happened and the Witcher 3: blood and wine came out. Toussaint was such a breath of fresh air, it reminded me that why I loved fantasy games was to feel like I was in a fantasy

Freakin’ VGCATS, my man! What a blast from the past

It’s a bit above my paygrade tbh, most of the time it’s seamless and lightning fast, but times like this, or say, when I can’t port forward on my torrenting device because Nord doesn’t support that or split tunneling is ass, can be annoying when they arise.

Tbh as soon as my membership renews I’m finding a better VPN for my use cases, but for now it works “well enough”

Edit: so it turns out it was actually my VPN, turns out there’s some issue with either android or Nord where if I click to disconnect from the VPN it wasn’t actually disconnecting. I had to manually remove it from VPN permissions in the android settings

I have a VPN but I get the same issues disabling it. Only other thing I could guess is it might be root related? Edit: all of them work except for 10000 sans, that one I can’t click accept risk and continue

I mean it varies from browser to browser, and it usually happens when clicking a link from emails, not during normal browsing.

Honestly I’ve had this same issue for 3 phones now, I just assumed it was something that just happened sometimes

Chrome

firefox

Is there a way to bypass invalid SSL certificates in any browser on android?
I literally just need to access a link to reset my discord password but for whatever reason discords reset link always does this to me on mobile and I'm nowhere near my desktop. Any way to bypass this on android? I've tried chrome and Firefox both

You mean like the heist pulled off in a guild Valued at around $20,000?

Always thought that was wild

What games have the most toxic communities?
Top ones I know of these days are siege, but some people have made a case that dead by daylight is pretty bad as well. Like if any of you remember the Xbox 360 Halo days. I think those would pass for toxic today. What do you guys think? Is the most toxic community out there in gaming?
