I’ll take Arkham City if there are no other takers that beat me. Otherwise Arkham Knight would still be a good time I think.

Thanks!

I like mine too. It’s rather heavier than I expected, but still solid.

I mainly use it for emulating games on my phone, along with streaming games from my Xbox.

I have never seen someone mark a shortened year with a hyphen like that. Usually it’s with an apostrophe.

But yes. The Water Wars will be fought by corporations.

I think they want to play this close to the vest because of potentially having to navigate tariffs.

I wonder how much money the Switch 2 lost on release due to tariff fuckery, at least in the US and Canada.

Really I’m just hoping it’s not much more than a PS5 Pro or Xbox Series X.

I don’t want either of those, but would love a gaming PC, but don’t have time to build or have the money to shop one really.

So this is a really good above middle ground, assuming it’s less than 1k.

I’m fully expecting an 800+ USD price tag. And I’ve made my peace with that.

Well now I’m going to need a 3D printed companion cube faceplate for it.

I have Apple Arcade as part of some bundle or another. But the other characters and maps are unlocked by playing in game.

Have you considered vampire survivors? That’s a fun one on iOS and android.

My favorite rom hacks are mainly Emerald based.

Been enjoying Pokémon Odyssey, which is a bit like Made In Abyss crossed with Pokémon. It’s got a full quest log and a huge dungeon and great story to explore. I haven’t played too much of this, but I have loved the hour or two I played through.

I also enjoyed Pokémon Scorched Silver, which acts as a Johto sequel and has a huge dex of mons up to Gen 9.

Because I’m a huge Emerald fan I have to shout out Pokémon Seaglass. It’s got a retro artistic feel to it. All the sprites are basically demakes and go back to the classic Gen 2 style. There are also battle backgrounds, following Pokemon, dexnav, and some balance changes, such as letting the Light Ball work for Raichu and Pichu.

Odyssey is the most unique, but Seaglass is really polished. Scorched Silver feels like another mainline game just with a huge dex. It still retains some of the level cap issues for the original GSC games I believe.

I only really know good 2D games. If you want those let me know haha.

This is apparently a game made by some of the old guard at BioWare.

Reminds me a bit of Andromeda mixed with ME1. Less focus on being part of a military organization from what I see.

Rest in peace Mass Effect.

Old BioWare did splinter into Archetype and are working on “Exodus.” I am not yet sold, but looks more like a harder sci-fi, since traveling at near FTL is actually one way time travel.

Do you actually play games with your free time? Haha

FYI there is a fix for the virtual Cart thing.

  1. Go to User Settings.
  2. Scroll down and find Use Online License.
  3. Switch it to ON.

Me neither. It went on sale recently for 18 bucks and I missed it by a few hours. It went back on sale today and I grabbed it. Haha.

That’s a great read. I finished the most recent book a few months back. Just yesterday I started listening to the audiobook version haha.

I finally picked up Stray!

Literally just started that a few minutes ago actually. Really good first impressions. The cats are very realistic. So much so my dogs were having just as much fun as I was watching me play haha.

It’s funny you say this, because for 500 bucks I am actually debating between the two as my Christmas present to myself this year.

I think I’d prefer a Steam Deck for no particular reason. 🏴‍☠️

I haven’t even hit act 2, but I am having a really good time.

Playing on expeditioner (normal) and have been having fun with the combat system - some boss fights require practice.

Soundtrack is incredible. I find the soundtrack a little loud compared to the voices on occasion, however, and had to turn this down a smidge.

The story is also well set up in Act 1 from what I can tell.

I’ll have to check with mine. I know they have a ton of DVDs and Blu-Rays. It’s pretty much the only reason I keep my PS4 around at this point.
