I love it but the generated quests make this game boring for me.

So basically I really really really want to like this game, but I just can’t :(

(I have 200ish hours in it anyway)

Exclusives are a bastard child of oligopoly, where the distribution platform has more power than the publisher.

Before Steam physical games were NEVER sold only in ToysR, they were sold in all shops.

More competition does not always mean things are better for the consumer [cut], e.g. streaming services

I don’t believe this oligopoly is competing with each other?

(I’m not arguing with the rest of your post because capitalism bad :) )

I simply do not understand the sentiment that not being a total bastard is something celebrated and not expected or required.

And while many like our Steam benevolent (almost) monopoly, I do wonder how would the market look like if we had 20 competing companies that cannot gain more than 5% of the market share. Can you imagine the competition between them and how would that benefit us, the consumer?

Then I’m confused what is your point on Halting Problem vis-a-vis hallucinations being un-mitigable qualities of LLMs? Did I misunderstood you proposed “return undecided (somehow magically, bypassing Halting Problem)” to be the solution?

How would token prediction machine arrive at undecidable? I mean would you just add a percentage threshold? Static or calculated? How would you calculate it?

(Why jfc? Because two people downvoted you? Dood, grow some.)

Wonderlands

Interesting. To me that game was just the worst:

Unskippable, long, very very very long, boring dialogues.

Shitty weapons, but fantasy. E.g. no oomph feeling when you hit the enemy with a large ice explosions. It just scraps a little of their health.

Boring, unchallenging fights.

Let me clarify what I wrote: I can’t access the google stored document because they send it only to approved people. Do you have access to it and can you share?

They seem to be focusing very much on NOT using LLMs yourself, but buying an SaaS offering providing LLM instead.

95% are failing, and:

Companies surveyed were often hesitant to share failure rates,

Oh. So it’s at least 95%?

Edit:

Source is MIT Nanda project - isn’t that an university project? I can’t access it, can anyone share? I’m curious about the methodology and data ser lol

Agreed but you can play only offline without missing on much

That’s such a bad take. Game companies are not allowed to have multiplayer that bypasses psn network.

The Sony and Nintendo have dominant positions in the game market for their consoles. The wallet garden must be breached for the consumer - why do you cate about company profits🙃

And that should be illegal, since there’s no other online services provider for those devices.

You can’t even setup one yourself.

God I hope EU will slap them like they slapped Apple forcing it to provide alternative app stores.

If you’re located in EU this could be a great case for DSA-based mediation. If you’re pissed maybe try reaching out to a DSA appointed mediator in your country?

What is this shit. Late night commercials?

First device is just an old fashioned walking machine (or whatever it’s called), marketed to elderly.

Second device is a voice activated doll on wheels.

I heard from a game dev that UE isn’t an engine, but a framework. That means it doesn’t give you optimized, opinionated code, but gives you more “freedom” - yet forces each dev team to optimise by themselves.

Which they either don’t or do poorly.
