I knew it was Norway. I did a cruise that did Oslo, Bergen, Alesund etc. and it was like this the entire week. Heaven.

The basics are still there: Food, Shelter, Water, Safety Fill one of those needs and forget about the fancy AI silliness.

The EGO on this man “because I hired all of these people, they’re amazing. Pay no attention to the fact that I had to lay 1k of them off due to poor planning.”

Not everything has to be so realistic.

Also, there are still people dying of hunger.

There really should be consequences for top leadership when even 1% of the company has to go. I’m a businessperson. When you lay off a bunch of people it’s not because you suddenly discovered smarter ways to work in your industry.

95% of the time, It’s because you planned poorly. 5% of the time, events that could not have been planned for derail things.

If the workers have to suffer consequences for the organization to survive, fine. Take out the leadership who sent the company down the tubes with their orders in the first place.

Remember when everyone made fun of Second Life? Now the people who made it don’t need to feel embarrassed anymore because at least they weren’t involved in Metaverse. If you were involved with both, there’s no salvation left.

I find myself replaying games 90% of the time.

Just revisiting those wonderful places. I don’t see them in the games these days but waiting on next Fallout or Elder Scroll / Dark Soul / Zelda

I sometimes wonder if stuff like this is why I lose my interest in games every couple of years and take years long breaks.
