It honestly should have had another 2 years in the oven to make the lore and universe more interesting.

I don’t know, I don’t think it would have changed anything. They might have had an interesting quest or two more, but their writing philosophy of not keeping track of anything and working in isolation would not have made a decent, coherent lore in even 10 extra years, just more unconnected shit with extra tonal dissonance.

The Steam Deck is… not significantly cheaper?

Maybe, but I already have a large game library and free online play, and can get new games for much cheaper.

The Simpsons: hit & run, Shinobido, GoW, Destroy all humans.

I spent a ton of time playing the two towers, bit I don’t know if it has aged well.

Also, war of the monsters was campy and fun.

I liked (and still like) nearly all these mechanics 🤷

The only thing I modded out is the to hit chance, but I’ll leave it untouched in my next playthrough.

Other than the roll to hit mechanic (which would be pretty cool if paired with parry and dodge animations), which mechanics were “absolute shit”?

And it’s not like a single player game gets worse over time. The player count is totally irrelevant and if 2 years from launch nobody is playing it it doesn’t affect your experience at all.

This is a loss for Warhorse and a win for anyone that doesn’t need to play it now.

I think the problem won’t be the formula, it’ll be the progressive dumbing down and simplification that Beth is doing since like forever. It will sell well just because it’s TES, though. Also, if Emil “lol who cares about lore” Pagliarulo is leading the writing and he treats it like he did with FO4…

I didn’t know this. Which games did it?

I believe all Elder Scrolls (at least the mainline games: Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim) let you select your character’s gender.

Also, what is “old”? Mass Effect 1 is already 15 years old.
