I have my old cd and cd key but Steam won’t recognize it. I gave up trying to figure it out and just coughed up the $20.

Units of measurement are redefined a thousand years in the future :)

Or not, I dunno. Head Canon. :)

For the overwhelming majority of missions, the info is largely contained in a text briefing when selecting missions. For the story beat missions, though, it’s voice acted stuff pre- and mid- mission.

I’m on an everything Battletech-related kick, so Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is what I’m playing currently.

Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters. The silence is your answer.

I never was able to get the combat system at all. I resorted to bow and arrow for the entire game.

My human… I am unequivocally one hundred billion percent behind you with regards to who you are and how you present. With that said… it seems to me that expecting a crpg from the NINETIES to have character customization in line with today’s social norms thirty ish years later kinda falls on you. Furthermore asking for a refund 8 months post purchase (where Steam’s policy has ever been two WEEKS) after failing to research even at a base level… I think you just gotta kiss that eight bucks goodbye (or whatever it was at time of purchase).

Hasn’t SQ42 already had multiple release date announcements? This is a joke, right?

Really not sure how to interpret ‘cozy’ here, but tbh the Farcry series are great for me in that they’re my casual shooters. I say this meaning that I do the shooting when I want to do the shooting – otherwise I’m off paragliding or picking flowers or something else low stress and soothing. To me, in that regard, they’re very cozy.

Yup it is. Most recent example is Space Marine 2. I don’t have a problem paying full price if the review consensus is that it’s good enough to warrant it. So I waited for the reviews, and my most trusted reviewers lavished it so I bought it day one. Lo and behold it lived up.

I don’t expect the same for ES6.

Honestly I’m expecting a hot steaming pile of garbage given their trajectory. Just another fantasy veneer on the same tired Bethesda formula rife with bugs. My expectations are so low, in fact, my plan is to wait for a good sale to get it, or until I hear that it’s released in a playable state but still post release.

I am VERY much looking forward to buying this 2 days post release (pending reviews).

Gah I need this in my fucking veins. I will not pre order but I’ll likely be a day 2 purchase just to ensure there’s no enshittification at work.

I recall the dev making a post here on lemmy not too long ago looking for feedback on a video of this game. Absolutely bizarre to see it here now. Best looking game of the entire show if you ask me.

Honestly what I loved about Hyper Light Drifter was the aesthetic and atmosphere, neither of which I see here. Sad for me, but oh well. I’ll live.

Valve famously only works on what excites them. You’re yelling me THIS is that?? How utterly defeatingly disappointing.

I tried playing on the lowest possible settings with a 1070 and averaged around 14fps :/

I still finished the game because it was awesome, but haven’t revisited it ever since.

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m encountering a few of what I think are bugs in burgage requirements not being checked off as “met” when they’re clearly there (i.e. market stalls) but otherwise I’m having a great time with it and can’t wait to see more content added.

I just picked up TeS: Oblivion in the spring sale and had to revert back to 6.5 just to get it to run. Latest versions of Proton kept crashing to desktop after the splash screens.

I don’t really have anything else to offer.

I believe the word you’re looking for is “moichandising”.

Who the hell wrote this article? Is DOOM literally the only FPS they’ve ever heard of? This game has nothing to do with DOOM and the allusion to it is either shitty clickbait or shitty writing.

This is a game I can’t wait to play… when it’s finished.

And 50% off.

I still have the same Microsoft Intellimouse that I got in 2000 when I went away to college. IIRC it was one of the first that used optical tracking vs ye old ball.

Still waiting for ACG’s review, but this is disappointing. Looks like a few months waiting for patches is in order.

Just watched ACG’s preview on this and it looks really interesting to me. He’s absolutely right in that AA games are special and more appealing; there’s generally more heart and soul in them. I look forward to hearing more about this game.

Lol Alex is absolutely tiny next to Greg.
