I refuse to get even a little excited unless something is officially announced. harrumph

I’m personally done with BioWare- although, I don’t mean this as facetiously as it sounds, but I’m glad a lot of folks are liking veilguard (even if it’s not meeting absurd corporate expectations/budget).

Summoning Salt rarely does anything “new” in his videos but when I think about it, there’s no need. His style is super comfy. Love the build up, love the music, always great explanations.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED! Well, not that shocked.

I’m the same way. I feel like I check it out after every expansion but it never really grabs me. To me, most of the systems feel quite separate from each other, and a lot of stuff feels the same despite procedural generation (space stations, buildings and bases on planets, planets themselves). I feel like a tighter focus would make for a more engaging game, but there are obviously tens of thousands of people enjoying its current state

Waiting makes sense- as beloved as the first one is, didn’t that one take a while to get stable?

The rewind mechanic was great! I like that it made it kind of “easier”, but only as much as you wanted to use it. I also love the framing mechanic of it being a story. Like if you miss a jump and die… “wait, that’s not what happened”

I expect the worst but I hope for the best. Maybe we’ll get Fallout or maybe we’ll get Halo…

Doesn’t take himself too seriously, either. “I’ve accepted my true place in the acting world, which is to be the guy who turns up when you order Henry Cavill from Wish”

No idea. As much as I love lemmy I’m not exactly shocked that directly uploaded media isn’t seamless. I thought it was my lemmy client, but it didn’t load when I checked from the web, either.

I’m not sure if there’s supposed to be a picture or video but the media doesn’t load for me (both on web and iOS voyager app).

How is this different from existing USB cable testers available from places like Amazon and AliExpress? In reading the description I didn’t see anything that set it apart

No man’s Sky still has a heart of jank, but it undeniably has a heart

Seems like it! That reminds me- I should watch Dredd again!

It is, but Steam has a habit of iterating, maybe we’ll see an updated Steam Link- like device in the future?

A related meme is that every time someone jokes about HL3 it gets delayed even more 😆

A new hero shooter just does not sound interesting to me, even if it is valve…

Not OP, but I do the same thing. I would leave it installed, but I always end up getting bored after a while. I can’t explain it exactly, I feel like they’re building a mansion on top of a shack, like there’s impressive new stuff but some of the core aspects haven’t changed at all

Please put a few carriage returns/ line breaks in your text… that hurt my brain to try to read

Personally, I found the villains to be obnoxious. Handsome Jack had that great “love to hate” quality, whereas BL3’s villains are just annoying. Overall I just found the story and writing in general to be not nearly as entertaining.

I vaguely remember playing and enjoying this game around the time it came out… before it crashed my computer. I wonder if it holds up

One of my favorite games. I love the framing mechanic of him telling a story. If you die, he says “No, no, no, that’s not how it happened”

I agree on Red Faction: Guerilla, it shows its age with a lot of bland empty spaces and rudimentary models, but the destruction is still a ton of fun

That someone is Andy Serkis, oddly enough (the actor who played Gollum in Peter Jackson’s movies)

My anecdotal experience- update looks and works great on my original steam deck. Of course, my limited experience doesn’t make it a good patch!

Yes, the webpage and the article make it clear- I was intending to poke fun at the missing word in the post title 😁

I’ve heard it before, i thought the context was for a specific product, or like a video resume for visual artists… not a video to be shown to the public at a conference

Handsome Jack was a great “love-to-hate” villain. The villains in BL3 were equally boring and annoying.

A break isn’t a terrible idea in my opinion. Give yourself a chance to step away and I bet by the end of your break you’ll end up getting excited to return something in particular
