I’d sink the time into an MMO.

The problem for me with the last MMO I tried (Pantheon) is that a bunch of people would rather talk on Discord than type; and that straight up ruins MMOs for me. Discord can fuck off. I do not want to have my arm twisted to join your shitty discord server so that I can join your shitty voice chat, only to be forced into listening to a bunch of goons talking about their love of fascism and Nazi shit while I’m playing a game. MAGA fucks can never keep their shitty opinions to themselves so even in a game where I’m a half naked ogre beating the shit out of a pig, trying to gain some gold.

PS5 is dogshit. I haven’t turned mine on since October.

You might enjoy it - it feels like a successor to the first EQ: https://www.pantheonmmo.com/

I bought a switch and those Zelda games during Covid. When I moved, the switch got boxed up. It’s still in the box today.

I’ll be skipping Switch #2 - $80 games reinforces the decision.

No complaints about Fedora KDE specifically. I’ve had it on my spare laptop since version 30 or so. Desktop is on 41 now. The only “issues” I’ve had running this full-time is lack of support for Fidelity Active Trader Pro (which kinda sucks anyway), I haven’t been able to make my bluetooth shipping label printer work yet, and I haven’t gotten my Logi MX Keys / Master S mouse working as it works in Logi Options (on windows or mac) to switch over to my work mac as intended. Otherwise, I prefer it to other distros I’ve used.

I run Fedora KDE now, but I’m going to keep my Windows 10 install on Windows 10.

I wonder how I’d be considered. I use Steam on Linux on one computer, Windows 10 on another, and Mac on another. Maybe I get counted thrice.

Yea, you’re right. It was a mix of excitement and knowing that I’m gonna buy it eventually anyway.

I ended up getting the founders edition of Civ VII. I played it most of the weekend when I wasn’t busy with other stuff.

As someone that’s been playing Civ since Civ II, I don’t enjoy VII at all. Granted, I hated V and VI when they first came out too, but this one is different. I can no longer put my scouts on auto-explore. This is my biggest pain point but other than that, there’s a substantial drop off on “fun,” in this latest iteration. If the game isn’t actually done yet, that makes sense.

It sounds like this (what the article is talking about) is a good thing, but I’m pretty irritated that I spent a large sum of money on a game that’s not completed at the time of release.

Wow, this completely snuck up on me. How exciting!

Judging by the 15 downvotes on my “Has Nintendo even released a game since that second Zelda game, or are they too busy suing people?” comment, I’m not so sure. I do find this a bit amusing though.

Back to that list though, there’s nothing on it that’s remotely appealing to me, so I guess I’m a bit biased and dismissive.

I also do not consider ports, and remakes new releases, even if there’s a new price tag on them.

I guess I should have put the /s at the end of my post so that everyone wouldn’t be so offended. Fuck Nintendo and their lawsuits though, no sarcasm intended there.

Yikes… so that list had 21 titles on it, not 22; and there’s a good chunk of them that are remakes. The ones that aren’t sound bad - not fun. “Not really” is accurate. 22 is not accurate at all.
