Tried the demo and it's pretty fun! It mixes card-stacking with management sim, and even has some automation. 😄
>Build your magic academy in this card realm, recruit students, manage their tasks or classes, perform rituals, and explore a perilous magical world. Faced with the encroachment of the Abyss, can you live up to people's expectations and save the empire from crisis?

Is there anyone else still playing [Heroes of Might and Magic 3](https://store.steampowered.com/app/297000/Heroes_of_Might__Magic_III__HD_Edition/) like me? Even though it's an old game, I never get tired of it. The new games like [Pennon and Battle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2915660/Pennon_and_Battle/), [Songs of Conquest](https://store.steampowered.com/app/867210/Songs_of_Conquest/), which have similar gameplay to HoMM3 are also nice for me. It's my favorite in the HoMM series.

I used to play RTS games like Warhammer, then got into [Heroes of Might and Magic](https://store.steampowered.com/app/297000/Heroes_of_Might__Magic_III__HD_Edition/) and its spin-offs like [Pennon and Battle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2915660/Pennon_and_Battle/). I've also played [XCOM 2](https://store.steampowered.com/app/268500/XCOM_2/) and [Age of Wonders 4](https://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/1669000/). Any other must-play series you'd recommend?

Any new strategy games worth checking out? Recently tried [Pennon and Battle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2915660/Pennon_and_Battle/), which is similar to HOMM, and the roguelike strategy game [Into the Breach](https://store.steampowered.com/app/590380/Into_the_Breach/). Just waiting for HOMM Olden Era to come out!

Happy new year guys!😀 Just now, it hit midnight here, and it's officially 2025. I was playing [Pennon and Battle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2915660/Pennon_and_Battle/), and I realized it's the last game I played in 2024!! That gave it a different kind of meaning. Now I'm curious, what was the last game you played in 2024?

Unfrozen and Paul Anthony Romero are collaborating again to compose music for the new HOMM Olden Era. It's so exciting, and it's a favorite among strategy game players! [Pennon and Battle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2915660/Pennon_and_Battle/) and [Songs of Conquest](https://store.steampowered.com/app/867210/Songs_of_Conquest/) from 2024 were great, and I'm looking forward to the return of the Heroes of Might and Magic series in 2025!

I found a new strategy wargame "[Pennon and Battle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2915660/Pennon_and_Battle/)" on Steam. It's surprising to see that there are still teams willing to make games similar to [Heroes of Might and Magic III](https://store.steampowered.com/app/297000/Heroes_of_Might__Magic_III__HD_Edition/). It can't help but remind me of the good old days when I used to play H3.

After starting work, I feel so tired every day, so I just want to play some casual games. Recently, I'm playing survivor-like games like [Vampire Survivors](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1794680/Vampire_Survivors/) and [Darkchaser](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2884590/Darkchaser_Battletide/). They're simple and fun, but after a while, they get a bit boring. So, I'm looking for other casual game recommendations, preferably single-player games that can be paused at any time, like [Plants vs Zombies](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3590/Plants_vs_Zombies_GOTY_Edition/). Thanks!

[Wukong](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2358720/Black_Myth_Wukong/) is definitely one of my favorite games this year. I haven't played Souls-like games before, I mostly played action roguelikes like [Dead Cells](https://store.steampowered.com/app/588650/Dead_Cells/), [Temtem:swarm](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2510960/Temtem_Swarm/) and [Darkchaser](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2884590/Darkchaser_Battletide/). So, Wukong is a bit challenging but very fun for me. I still remember the excitement after defeating The Great Sage's Broken Shell.

The Steam achievement in [Darkchaser](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2884590/Darkchaser_Battletide/) is quite interesting—one of them requires you to travel the distance equivalent to circling the Earth once, and another requires the distance from the Earth to the Moon.
However, I still want to complain: is anyone actually able to complete this? I know it's a game that requires you to run around all the time, and I've already played for 100 hours, but it's still far from enough :D

SteamDeck TOP Played list.
In the past week, I've already spent dozens of hours on the new DLC of [Brotato](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2868390/Brotato_Abyssal_Terrors/) and [Vampire Survivors](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3210350/Vampire_Survivors_Ode_to_Castlevania/), it's so addictive! In a few weeks, there will also be the official releases of [DarkchaserBattletide](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2884590/Darkchaser_Battletide/) and [Jotunnslayer](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2820820/Jotunnslayer_Hordes_of_Hel/). There are just too many survivor-like games to play!

🤣
